Right now, the only candidate(s) I’d want to trash (and will) are Jeb and Marco. I don’t have a use for either. The others like Huck and Christie, et al are not in my book of likely candidates with potential (i.e., not winners or vote worthy), As far as Carly, Cruz or Walker go, I won’t trash them. I’ll let their performance and conservative voters before my state sort it out.
I will say this, I will not under any circumstance cast a vote for Jeb or Marco. I don’t care who is running on the Democrat side.
Speaking as a Christian, I can vote for our whole slate this cycle. Not one of them is a Romney, on morals, ethics and virtue. Not one. (At least not to my knowledge.)
On issues and opinions, sure— like noses, everyone has one. But to hand off a preference for the issues over Christian morality has proven to be a big assist to the butchering of innocent life, wiping out religious liberty and accommodating gays, against state rights.
Romney was a no vote for many Christians, who can not vote for his all-of-the-above record in Massachusetts.
It’s different this time, though of course some candidates are far superior to others.
For me, these things matter and they actually determine the kind of outcomes of the rest.
