Waco police 'can't wait' for video to combat conspiracies
WFAA ^ | May 21, 2015 | Josh Davis

Waco police took issue with online conspiracy theories regarding Sunday's shooting at a Twin Peaks restaurant, with a spokesman saying Thursday the department "can't wait" to show the public "what truly happened."

Police have said after a disturbance in the parking lot Sunday, a fight began in the restaurant's bathroom that quickly escalated into an armed brawl and shootout that left nine motorcycle gang members dead and another 18 injured.

According to Waco police, the deadly altercation began after one gang of bikers showed up uninvited to a planned meeting of other motorcycle groups at the restaurant.

"You will eventually see what happened at Twin Peaks," said Waco police spokesman Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton in a news conference Thursday at 5:30 p.m. "I've seen it... It was horrible."

Sgt. Swanton said video of the fight and fatal shooting won't be available to the media or public until the McLennan County District Attorney's Office decides to release it, and that that time may not come until the investigation is much further along.

Swanton said there is currently no time frame on when the investigation may be complete, explaining that the nine men killed Sunday were more homicides than his department investigated in all of 2014. He also cited the complicated nature of the crime scene, which stretches from the interior of the restaurant to well into the parking lot.

More than 300 weapons have been recovered from Twin Peaks and the parking lot. Many were hidden throughout the restaurant, though police have not specified whether the weapons were placed there before the shooting or hidden by suspects as police responded to the chaotic scene.

Swanton specifically addressed those who have claimed online that police instigated the violence Sunday.

"Those who were involved know law enforcement did absolutely nothing to start this," Swanton said. He later said "a criminal element at Twin Peaks" started it.

Earlier this week, officials said there were 18 local police officers as well as four DPS troopers in place at the restaurant prior to a motorcycle group's event on Sunday because they were aware of the potential for violence.

All of the witnesses, bikers, and cops agree some fight happened (in the bathroom and/or parking lot or both). Dozens of bikers were sent to the hospital with stab wounds ect that obviously were not inflicted by the police.

So yes, I would say a fight between the bikers is pretty much a fact.

But I would like to see all video taken to know for sure the sequence of events.

"There can't be an ROE established that changes those legal standards."

Tell that to Lon Horiuchi.

“Ever hear of the Shedden Bandido biker-on-biker massacre? You know, the one where bikers murdered 8 of their own?”
*****************************************************************************************************
Oh, did the bikers murder one another in Waco? And here I was thinking (from the few bits of information that the local authorities have been unable to prevent from coming out) that some of the cops shot these bikers.

Sorry for not replying earlier but have been traveling.

No, it does not mean that if the prosecution doesn’t present the video no one will have access. In a criminal case, there are clear rules of evidence and anyone charged has a right to view and examine any evidence bearing on the issue at hand. Trials are conducted in courts based on rules and evidence, not on the internet based on speculation and rumor.

“Everybody and their dog records everything that happens, 24/7, these days.

Where are all those smartphone videos?

Hundreds of bikers, who know knows how many other shoppers wandering around and there’s...nothing?”
*****************************************************************************************************
Every biker LEO could lay their hands on were arrested and taken to jail. The police have all the property of the jailed people in retained in police custody. Every single “biker” has had a bail of ONE MILLION DOLLAR placed on them so they are sitting rotting in jail.

So ask the police where the smartphone videos are...they have them if they exist (or if they STILL exist).

No, by law the prosecution cannot hold evidence that would be beneficial to a defense. Since the existence of the evidence is known publicly it will be virtually impossible to turn it over to defense attorneys.

I have retraced the posts between you two, and you, treetops, started out the insult exchange with your first post to mabarker1. In fact, your initial post, which is extremely ambiguous, simply states that this article should “satisfy the [FR] fascists” although you fail utterly to clarify whether you mean those who tend to support the police or those who tend to oppose.

You responded to a post by mabarker1 to a different poster, and did so with an insult.

You have failed to elucidate a single thought, other than insulting everyone as a fascist or fascist kapo, without any seeming regard to consistency in target or reasoning.

I don’t know anything about you, except that you are an insufferable boor according to your posts. An air of moral superiority pervades your words, but without a shred of support from your expressed intellect.

Do you have a FACTUAL link for this statement or is this just an assumption on your part?

here is a link to the article that mentions the number of bikers injured and that refers to the type of injuries that had:

http://www.wacotrib.com/news/ap_texas/police-dead-in-texas-shooting-all-members-of-biker-gangs/article_bb196f96-4d2c-5a33-a00d-b11ed84af755.html

quote “18 people who were taken to hospitals with injuries that include stab and gunshot wounds. Some victims are being treated for both, he said.”

...they were invited to be there in the first place...

That was my key point. It is possible the the "authorities" wanted to a new hero movie like the original Waco siege was supposed to become.

Is there anything whatsoever for you to act like this man was the “instigator” to drive the peaceful Banditos and Cossacks into a giant fight?

Do you even know if he was there on the parking lot when it broke out?
It would be just as legitimate to ask if he was 12 blocks away when it happened. Agents Provacateur,,,,it’s not cool to be one.
