Robert Gates, president of the Boy Scouts of America, told the organization Thursday at its annual national meeting that the time has come to end the ban on homosexual adult leaders in the organization. Citing the wave of cultural changes taking place under threat from homosexual activists, including same-sex marriage edicts in the courts and anti-discrimination laws in several states, Gates insisted, “The status quo in our movement’s membership standards cannot be sustained.”
“The one thing we cannot do is put our heads in the sand and pretend this challenge will go away or abate,” Gates added. “Quite the opposite is happening.”
Translation: Abandon traditional values in the face of pressure from the Rainbow Mafia.
Far from putting “our heads in the sand,” however, defending both traditional Judeo-Christian values and religious liberty itself is called standing on principle.
Gates did not call upon BSA leaders to make a decision on the matter forthwith, but he did caution that if the organization doesn’t change on its own the homosexual lobby and its allies in the courts are likely to force the issue. “If we wait for the courts to act,” he warned, “we could end up with a broad ruling that could forbid any kind of membership standard,” including belief in duty to God and specifically serving the needs of boys.
So he argued for change, leaving it up to individual troops and councils and the churches who sponsor them … for now. However, such a change would only leave troops and councils across the nation susceptible to legal assaults by the Tolerance Brigade.
Gates, a former secretary of defense and CIA director, has a track record of knuckling under to homosexual activists. He was at the helm of the Pentagon for the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in 2010, justifying his actions at the time as an end to discrimination rather than calling the change what it was: an attempt by gays and lesbians to remake yet another institution to suit the needs of a small but vocal fraction of the population.
(On that note, homosexuals and their allies have managed to erroneously convince more than half of Americans that gays make up at least 20% of the population. The true number is more like 3%, but it helps the agenda if it appears there are far more of them.)
When Gates took the job as president of the BSA in 2014, he said he had no intention of allowing openly homosexual scout leaders. The BSA was already reeling from a 2013 decision that summarily dropped the ban on openly homosexual youths. The vote was passed by 60% of the 1,400 delegates in attendance, which may seem like a landslide but is hardly a representative cross-section of the national organization.
Scout membership nationally is already down more than 10% since the last encroachment of gay activists — but the prospect of homosexual leaders overseeing troops will most assuredly lead to a much more significant decline.
Next thing you know, the BSA will be banning water guns. Oh, wait…
Gates is correct that the homosexual lobby isn’t done reshaping the 103-year-old organization to suit its agenda. Scouts for Equality and Human Rights Campaign issued statements after Gates' speech Thursday saying they were heartened by his words, but wanted to see more action.
HRC President Chad Griffin said, “It’s time for BSA leaders to show true leadership and embrace a full national policy of inclusion that does not discriminate against anyone because of who they are.” Unless of course you want to discriminate against someone for their religious beliefs — that’s perfectly acceptable to HRC and other members of the homosexual lobby.
And never mind that the “tolerant” thing to do would be to live and let live. Set up another scouting organization to advance and promote leftist values, and leave the Boy Scouts alone.
Yet proponents of the homosexual agenda have convinced the courts and the Leftmedia to go along with their plan to dismantle every institution in this country for the sake of accommodating, promoting and advancing their own lifestyle. Submit to homosexual leaders, don’t oppose same-sex marriage, bake the cake — whatever the demand, you will comply. Or else. So-called tolerance is a one-way street.
What takes place between consenting adults is one thing, but when did it ever become necessary to force other people to condone that behavior?
“We must deal with the world as it is, not as we might wish it to be,” Gates declared. Well, the world as it is right now is being reshaped by an aggressive minority who want little more than the power to reshape the culture and its institutions in its own image.

Tell that to sodomite cheerleader Anthony Kennedy and the other liberals on the US Supreme Court that will rule next month to allow two men or two women to “get married”, forever changing the definition of marriage in the United States of America. Then comes a man “marrying” his dog, horse or Oldsmobile, or a woman “marrying” her father, or her six year old little girl, or her refrigerator, or her German Shepard. All these perversions will become law because if meaning of marriage is not woman and one man for the the good of society and the continuation of the species it is nothing. The Boy Scouts are just the latest conquests of the sodomite nazis who control American society.

We saw in 2013 that the Fortune 500 execs who served on the BSA National Executive Committee threatened the BSA profesionals with withholding corporate sponsorships if the BSA membership rule wasn't changed to admit open homosexual youth. Now we are witnessing the other shoe about to drop.
Your neighbor in Arlington/Ft.Worth, Randall Stephenson, CEO of AT&T, is slated to succeed Dr. Gates as the BSA National President at the May 2016 National BSA biz meeting. He has already said he is in favor of amending the membership rule to admit openly homosexual adults.

Adding homosexuality to the scouts kills it. I cannot and would not place my children into their hands, ever. I'll have to teach my children on my own just to keep them safe and "morally straight".
Our society is losing a more than century-old institution and all of the benefits it provided.

Get your kids out of the boy scouts right now. If you don’t they’ll be indoctrinated. There is no other reason why homosexual men want to be allowed access to them. Think about it. Why else would they want access to your children. It the scouts don’t get rid of a questionable Gates, they’re done.

The boy scouts need a new ‘leader’ someone willing to stand up for the prinsables that underline the organization.
Gate’s argument could be made on any subject and the truth is if the Federal injustice system is going to impose its members’s amorality in place of law there is no man, woman, or child in this country whos life and liberty are safe.
There will be no place to run for the boyscouts or any other orginization when law means only what they say rather than what it was written and practiced for hundreds of years. What surrender Gates is asking the boyscouts to do is stab themselfs in the black out of fear of someone else doint it for them.
It won’t save the boy-scouts any trouble, the federal injustice system will impose every other edict imaginable to force them to become as amoral as they are.
Gates is a terrible leader profesent in bring about rune and he should resign at once. Obama did not keep him on because he stood for anything.
Gates should know like his military the organization will decline. You can’t cow tow to leftist perverts and expect to survive. They are out to kill you and if they can they will have you stab yourself out of fear first exactly as Robert Gates did to the military and as he is doing now to the scouts.
In this case due to be self-funded and voluntary nature of the boyscouts the organization will collapse when NAMBLA scout leaders start raping their scouts on camping trips. The left won’t defend the organization because it will still have so many other moral and individual values they detest.
Conservatives won’t defend it because it will be as pointless and spineless as Robert Gates himself, No parent will want their kids going off in the woods with them.
The BSA has been declining for years, and really, further changes to its policy will not help reverse the trend. IMHO, it’s all a question of whether he simply declares invalid the BSA charters for any church or organization that doesn’t go by his values.

I tried...writing letters, emails, phone calls...spreading the word to other leaders and parents...to no avail.
PC has infected the BSA and there are many, even so called "conservatives" who vilified us right here at FR. The BSA is INFESTED with PC maggots and is even training leaders to be PC maggots via "diversity/inclusion" social marxism.
The BSA rec'd survey results showing ~2/3's of its membership rejected the membership policy change...a funny thing happened on the way to the convention.
2/3's of the delegates, those who purportedly "represented" their Councils, voted the other way to incorporate the change...

I think its obvious that we have a problem with our representatives whether that problem is caused by PC lobbies or simply the dishonesty of the lot incline to run for such positions to be representatives.
I suspect it may be both lobbing. We know after all Liberals have always been drawn to power which is why they tend to dominate the physical areas(Capitals) of power.
How to counter this superior position they have obtained I do not know. Gates is right about one thing thou, The corrupt Federal employees in black robes are unlikely to allow us any liberty or religious believes that they personalty find they don’t like.
Seeing as they have abolished the law, there is nothing to stop them. He is of course wrong that we should even think of surrendering to evil. when good men back down evil takes over. Gates is as such no leader, and we now know why the military under him had fall so far.
I think Christian Boy-scout groups should abandon the BSA officially and join anther organization that holds to the original charter.

Host churches should demand this if they are to continue to uses their facilities and personnel.
From a legal persecution perspective this is important to help make the boy Scouts more explicitly religious.
In the mean time we should uses whatever power we have left over the BSA to get that organization to abandon all claims to trade marks allowing the competing organization to effectually follow the same standard.
If they are not going to fight to uphold the values of scouting then they have already been dissolved.

I haven’t been active but now want nothing whatsoever to do with the program.
