at least the bone in my butt ain’t human
I have seen them, never eaten them, but they remind me of smelts and the smelt run on the North Shore, and I have eaten my weight many many times, on fresh smelt!

No clue what a smelt is ,fry em or what
Small lil fish...get them by the garbage can full when they are runnin......to clean em...grab a scissors...cut the head off, then slice down the gut...pull the guts out (and feed em to the cat)...then roll em in buttermilk and egg....then cornmeal...then fry...and eat em bones and all....GOOD eats!! I wasnt raied in a “wealthy” home...so when it was Smelt time...it was a BIG deal...dad would come home literally with garbage cans full, and what we didnt fry, we pickled...it was a banquet!
