The easiest way to pay a debt of gratitude is with respect and commemoration. On Memorial Day, remember to pause for a minute of silent honor at 3 PM, local time. Memorial Day is still officially known as Decoration Day. It is a day to remember those who have died in all of our wars.

I had forgotten about the lanterns at Pearl Harbor until they mentioned it on Fox and Friends this morning.
On other holidays some FReepers have complained about Google’s home page and how it has no relation at all to the holiday, or perhaps a lame attempt at it. I don’t Google, I only use bing.com; and, they always have an appropriate picture for the holiday (I like their pictures every day and it can be educational if one wants to click on the boxes and learn more - for those that aren’t familiar with bing). They have a beautiful picture of the lanterns at Pearl Harbor on their main page today:
