FDR wanted a 100% top tax rate. It was his way of instituting a maximum wage in addition to a minimum wage.

I don’t see anything like honesty in Sanders just because he openly preaches socialism.

They actually did this in Massachusetts back in 2005. When they lowered the state tax rate from 5.85% to 5.00%, all the bleeding heart liberals kicked and screamed. So they put a checkbox on the tax form for all the bleeding-heart liberals to pay at the higher rate, if they so chose.
Again, we are only talking an additional 0.85%, which on an annual salary of $50,000 a year, would amount to $425 in additional taxes - or about $8.17 a week.
All the bleeding hearts had to do was go without a couple of frappuccinos at Starbucks each week.
