The number of arrests made by Baltimore police in May has plummeted as shootings and homicides have dramatically increased.
Data from the US city shows that officers are making about 45% fewer arrests than comparable times in previous years.
Meanwhile, local media have reported that May has turned out to be the deadliest month in the city since 1999.

who would want to take the chance of stopping somebody and having their career ruined? Meanwhile our neighborhoods are as safe as they were before. The only ones that lose are Obama’s sons and daughters.

How about; some folks are just not capable of self rule.

Police are rarely in my neighborhood, yet we have little if any crime.
My guess is that Baltimore Cops are doing fewer patrols and they only leave their station when someone calls 911

Duh. What do they expect. The police don’t want to go to jail for decades just for doing their job.
Baltimore is a progressive dream come true..its the city that progressives literally built. This is what the left wanted, NO POLICE and this is what they got..the cops are staying away, sitting back, and watching body after body drop. So leftists, you got what you wanted so enjoy it

Why should the cops go in harms way when the street gangs are beating up on each other? If they did do something that B’more prosecutor would file charges on the LEO’s.

And how they respond is no doubt different. Like putting on their siren when they’re a block or two away to make sure there aren’t any unnecessary conflicts.
