What is it that you have against Jackson?

Are you familiar with the Warriors at all?

They were a bad team for since the 1993-1994 season.

Jackson's first year: 23 wins

Jackson's second year: 47 wins -> More than doubled the amount of wins from the previous year (that's not impressive?) Most wins by the Warriors since 93/94 season - 19 years. 2nd playoff seed in that time

Jackson's third year: 51 wins - Most wins since 91/92 season. 3rd most wins in Warriors history. First time back to back playoffs in 22 years. First time in Warriors history improve over three straight years like that.

So Jackson took a perennial loser and turned them into a back to back playoff team. It's just ignorance to say that didn't lead to where they are today. The organization was broken for years. That is not B minus. Not sure why you are trying to minimize that.

Kerr has always had a solid basketball mind.

That remark is out of line. Obviously Kerr got the team to next level for whatever reason when Jackson was unable to do so. It’s just simple competition. It’s not personal, not racist, and certainly not anti-Christian. Jeeze there’s enuff poop in this world without making this stuff up. Go hug someone that you love and try to have a better outlook on life.

Jackson did a hell of a job, but obviously higher ups thought he should have accomplished more. And, unfortunately for Jackson supporters, it looks like they were right. Life sucks sometimes. Everyone loves Obama and I think he’s a waste of air. It’s how it goes.

The media around here reported that, with a quote from one of the owners. Even the left wing media reported it.

51 wins two seasons after 23 wins? He never got a chance. You don't fire 51 wins. If that were the standard everyone lived to, 99% of us would be fired.

Hey! I used to like the Warriors. Are Mullin, Richmond and Hardaway still with ‘em?

You are far off my man. Jackson took over after an ownership change that made every right move to make the team better. If it was still Cohan owning the team, Jackson’s record would be no different. His coaching on offense was a joke. Isolation plays were the norm instead of efficient ball movement. The Dubs lead the league in assists this year and that comes from coaching. He gets some credit for emphasis on defense but the players Myers drafted (Klay, Green, Festuz) or traded (Igoudala, Bogut) were bull dogs on defense.

Kerr has been classy throughout giving Jackson his due. Jackson has been bitter all season on his broadcasts and the ultimate slight was saying Harden was better than Curry. We sure did find out about that didn’t we?

Jackson took over after an ownership change that made every right move to make the team better A lot of rich people buy teams to improve them. It doesn't mean it happens. By the way, Lacob and Guber are probably the most despicable owners in professional sports.

Team President Rick Welts is openly gay and wanted to get rid of the Christian coach, even though he won 51 games.

Why anyone would watch or support this sport is well beyond me.

You obviously have never watched Stephen Curry touch a basketball....

Mullin, Richmond, and Hardaway (RUN TMC under Don Nelson) are all long gone. Mullin is taking over as the head coach at St John’s U, his alma mater back from the Mulberry Show days (Chris Mullin and Walter Berry under Lou Carnesecca).

Kerr spent several years under the tutelage of the San Antonio Spurs coach Greg Popovitch, the best coach in the NBA. You can see that in Kerr’s coaching style. Needless to say coaching like Pop is almost a guarantee of success.

Jackson was under contract through this year. He’s now signed up as a broadcaster. He made a great color man paired up with Jeff Van Gundy (his former coach with the Knicks) and play by play man Mike Breen. Call him a triple threat: a fine guard, impressive career stats, and a winner; a fine coach, turned the Warriors around; and an informative and entertaining color man. He and Gundy played off each other very nicely.

One more thing: Steve Kerr is another level as coach. (No disrespect to Jackson.)

so we have a bunch of thugs, owned and managed by faggots, playing a game that no civilized person cares about.

I’d root for their opponents if it wasn’t for the fact that they are a bunch of thugs too.

Basketball reaches it’s peak at the college level.

I don’t really follow the proball thing - since they don’t play by the rules ;)... but since I’m in Cleveland I hear a lot about it on the side. What I’m gleaning is that they’ve had several folks injured with some coming back in time for the finals, and some bench players that have stepped up when Lebron and the other big guys have not been able to perform to expectations - I’m sure it’ll be all I hear about in the coming days.
