Three sailors are scheduled for court-martial in Florida this week on charges related to making and sharing videos of female officers and midshipmen showering aboard the ballistic missile submarine USS Wyoming.

When I was in the service there was no expectation of privacy anywhere except when it came to officer's quarters.
I don't think a courts martial trial is warranted here.
But then again we have given ourselves over to liberalism in so many areas, I guess it's not surprise.

They are trying to force humanity to conform to their goofy theories. They fancy themselves as modern day Procrusteses and everyone must be forced to fit into their bed.
In the real world, Men are Warriors and women are wives. This nonsense about turning women into warriors is part of the delusional thinking of pointy headed intellectuals who are too smart to understand complicated things like human nature.
Believing that men and women should NOT serve together in confined quarters or in combat is one thing.
Videotaping women in the showeer is another.
It is VERY “cut and dried”.
I agree. There may not be an expectation of privacy... but there should be an expectation that the person won’t be videotaped in the shower, and the video shared with others.
You are confusing the issue.
Frankly, it would be just as much a court martial offense if they had done the same thing to a male officer with the intent of belittling his authority.
Putting women onto ships and not expecting 19 year old young men to act like 19 year old young is stupid. Should we expect more of our young men? Yes. Should we live in a fantasy that tempting fate won’t increase problems? No.
I can’t condone their voyeurism, but it should not be a surprise when you put young men and women is the close confines of a nuclear sub for months and not expect nature to take its course.
That nature guides human behavior is Always a surprise to Liberals/Socialists/Communists/Fascists.
This woman, LT (at the time LTJG) Marquette Leveque, is one of the women on the USS Wyoming. She is not entitled to any more privacy than the other officers, but she is entitled to not be filmed in the shower. What they did would have been justly condemned as criminal and deserving of the harshest possible penalty if gay sailors had done it to male officers. It is just as inappropriate and disrespectful for immature boys to have filmed her. Throw the book at them.
No doubt about it. The issue confuses me too. I'm sick and tired of the people who want to be equal DEMANDING that they be special at the same time.
Maybe the cute little LT actually passed the same tests as the men and earned her rank, who knows? If so, goodie goodie. There are surely suitable assignments for her to prove her surrogate warrior hood in besides the close quarters of a submarine.
Ok, what these young men did was wrong. Does their career have to be scrubbed because of it? Maybe she'll get to sue the Navy for sexual harassment and then make a bundle off her book.
I'm becoming more of a curmudgeon every day and I'm starting to enjoy it.
Just wait until women are in the infantry and have to dig a slit trench to drop a deuce in the field.
