Add 120# PFC Sally Sweetbreath, and you have basically introduced a “walking wounded” into the unit, where the men will have to take turns carrying her load, and helping her over obstacles, while not raising issues of privacy when going potty out in the bare desert, or jealously or love triangles or favoritism.
Basically, just blow up unit cohesion and make the squad into a Peyton Place drama, on its way to being ambushed or overrun by a SERIOUS military unit.

The women always want the easy, less physical jobs like cops, office jobs, meter maids, receptionist, teachers, DMV clerks etc. They have no interest in jobs like roofing, house painting, plumbers, mechanics etc.
For the most part women want the power, the bucks and or prestige, but not a job were you physically have to work your butt off daily for 25 years.

In order for women to qualify they must be masculinized.
In order for women to qualify, men must be feminized.
When they lower the standards, any guy who graduates won't know if he graduated because he's good or because his strength is equal a woman's.

I am a woman. I don’t expect people to change the standards for me just so I can succeed. If those women can’t meet the standards, they shouldn’t be Rangers. Period. Lives depend on it.

Well, being a Pack Mule can be pretty important during a war.
If you are on a mission in a mountainous region where even a real mule could not climb the grades that you will traverse and any air drop of supplies would give away your position and the only supplies you will have are the supplies you carry with you being a pack mule will be the difference between success and failure where failure probably means you are dead.
For the foreseeable future strength and endurance will still be critical attributes for Special Operations. A special ops soldier on a mission will have to carry all of the food, water and ammunition he will need on that mission. If that soldier can not carry an 80 to a 100 pound pack on a 5 mile mountainous hike he should not be in a Special Ops battalion. If he is permitted to be there he is putting his life and the lives of his fellows at unnecessary risk.
I am surprised that Ranger officer would suggest otherwise. I guess he is bucking for that star.
