Baltimore Police announced May's 40th homicide victim Saturday, making it the city's deadliest month in a quarter of a century.
Justin Mensuphu-Bey, 23 — who also went by Justin Bey, according to court records — was fatally shot in the 1100 block of Washington Boulevard in Pigtown Friday night, police said. The last time the city had 40 homicides in a month was August 1990, when the city had 42 and its population was significantly larger. So far, 2015 has seen 113 homicides.
Police also identified a previously announced homicide victim, who was shot in the 4000 block of West Belvedere Ave. on Friday night. He was Eladio Bennett, also 23.
The 100th shooting of the month also happened early Saturday morning. A woman was found shot in the leg in the 2900 block of West Lanvale St. in the Franklintown Road neighborhood of southwest Baltimore, police said.

I see much cause for gratitude in all this violence. Let these “communities” learn what it’s like when they patrol their own streets. Maybe the next time they’ll give the coppers the benefit of the doubt.

I don’t blame the cops on this one. You have an extreme lefty imbecile for a mayor and a homey population who hates whitey and cops. Just like that Public Enemy song “911 is a joke”.
This may serve a useful purpose. Odds are pretty good that a lot, if not most, of the murders are gangbangers killing gangbangers. Reducing the population of thugs at a more rapid pace than the judicial system ever could.
Yet the people in the hood are more worried about the one life of a petty criminal who died in police custody.
Instead of thinking one move ahead. We need to think several moves ahead and where this can lead to.
This could be the excuse the Feds need to federalize the local police. Just like they did with the Airport security.
They can use the police standing down as the excuse for the feds to take over.
A classic problem, reaction and solution.
Even the crook Al Sharpton is calling for this now.
Police need to step back and let them sort it out. Let them show what they’re capable of .... let them show their “black power.”
Let’s see if they can show us that they can act civilized.
Yup. The concept of “let the animals kill each other” has always been an effective tool in crime prevention.
I blame the mayor and DA jerks.....let them sit down to a nice, fat supper of consequences....
I suppose if you are defining “Man” in the most broad possible sense of the word.
What consequences ?
Most of the time the cops arrive at a scene too late to prevent any violence anyway. They basically come in after the fact. I think they are just taking their good ole time responding, and heck, with the way they are being portrayed by the feds and race baiters - I can’t say I blame them.
They still have tomorrow.
