I’m not a Rand Paul supporter. I think that Rand Paul is doing good by talking about the failures of the NSA spy program but needs to demand that we secure the border, among other things.
But can we just applaud him tonight for fighting for our personal freedoms. I don’t see Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz down on that Senate floor. Just sayin.
Its because of George W. Bush’s adherence to Uniparty political correctness after 9/11 that this NSA program of data mining came into being.
The notion of profiling real people at airports, borders etc. etc. is unacceptable to the powers that be. They adopt a “prevention” strategy which means using communications as a predictor of possible future action.
School shootings have led to a politically correct ‘prevention’ strategy as well.
School students communications are monitored and any “weapons” seized like kitchen knives, pocket knives, nail clippers, words spoken become grounds for discipline because they indicate violence.
This “prevention” program ignores more obvious solutions like armed teachers, staff, guards etc. on school grounds.
