A U.S. military aircraft from a base in Germany will transport Secretary of State John Kerry to Boston from Geneva for medical treatment for a broken leg, his spokesman said on Monday.

"Secretary Kerry will be transported (from Geneva) to Boston aboard a U.S. military C-17 transport aircraft. The aircraft, based in Ramstein, Germany, will be staffed by additional military medical personnel in keeping with standard practice," State Department spokesperson John Kirby said in a statement.

SO do I.

There he's liable to be treated in the fashion of Gengis Khan.

Isn’t it risky to fly with a broken leg, with the risk of a pulmonary embolism?

It would be a shame if the pilots did a combat landing and Johnny wasn’t wearing his seat harness.

Too bad he isn’t strapped to a pallet
and sent home on a C-130, the experience
would do him good.

He served in Viet Nam you know.

So. I’m guessing here this isn’t just an ordinary C-17....you know, what we’d expect to be available when one of our sons or daughters in God knows where gets blown up, shot, or macheted by some ‘asian’ somewhere - ready at a moment’s notice to spirit them safely home to the [formerly, pre Obamacare] medical care in on this planet?

I got mad. Couldn’t help. It.....meant “best” medical care in the world. I just hope some poor soldier didn’t get rescheduled because of this putz.

Need the big plane for his big head. Only a C-17 has enough egress to allow his gigantic head on-board.

Agree... This will be a C-17 specially configured for medical evacuation of wounded military. It will be on a “special mission” and will have only one passenger... No space-available military scum will taint the SoS’s presence (in the manner of Genghis Khan).

A C-17 can barely lift Kerry’s ego

A doctor from Massachusetts General Hospital who has performed previous hip surgery on Kerry was expected in Geneva on Monday to evaluate the secretary's fractured femur.

What did he fly in on?

I would have more respect for John Kerry if he had been left behind in a shallow grave somewhere in Vietnam, as he would so richly deserve to be.
