If insurance is so great at stopping bad things from happening, can we get politician insurance?
For a mere $5.95 a month, you too can be insured against the risk of electing morons whose only two functions in life are stealing money and trying to run your life.
So now the anti-2nd amendment trolls have a great new idea. Stop shootings with gun insurance. Its a plan so stupid it can only come from a career Democrat.
House Democrat Rep. Carolyn Maloney (N.Y.) has introduced a bill that would require gun owners to carry liability insurance.
The Firearm Risk Protection Act, unveiled Friday, would require gun buyers to have liability insurance coverage before being allowed to purchase a weapon, and would impose a fine of $10,000 if an owner is found not to have it.
We require insurance to own a car, but no such requirement exists for guns, Maloney said in a statement. The results are clear: car fatalities have declined by 25 percent in the last decade, but gun fatalities continue to rise.
So Maloneys theory is that the gang members, who are responsible for most of the shootings, will have to buy gun insurance before they shoot someone?
Of course their guns are usually illegal anyway because theyre operating in blue states and/or blue cities. So this plan makes about as much sense as complaining that rioters burning down businesses need jobs.
Instead this is yet another bout of trolling and petty harassment aimed at gun owners by a frustrated left irritated because it hasnt been able to get its own way in its long battle with the Bill of Rights.
YIKES!
This is why the Socialists closed all the mental institutions, they needed recruits.
Are they over 21?
Are they already committing crimes with these weapons?
And you want us to believe this is to force criminals to comply with a bogus new law?
Ban all guns! Make ‘em insure their guns! Gang members just need jobs! Don’t let the police make ‘em mad by arresting them when they shoot people! Ban the use of the word ‘thug’!
Let’s see, what other good ideas can they come up with?
If there isn’t, there should be!
Of course! Duh! How else would it work!?
:-)
Hmmmm, let’s see if we can help this libtard out a bit here. Criminals don’t obtain their guns the way the rest of us to, so why on earth would they buy something..... Wait a minute, they don’t buy anything anyway - they get US to pay for it, that’s the ticket. Democrats should be shot with sh!t and killed for stinking.
If she had a brain she’d have a real job.
Another dumb biotch
Dear democrat tw(i)t,
I refuse.
If criminals obeyed laws, she could simply sponsor one which forbade shooting people, or one which makes breaking the law illegal. Either way, problem solved.
Oh.
Democrats.
Nevermind.
last time I saw a mouth like that it had a hook in it.
That last line was great. Mind if I borrow?
The results are clear: car fatalities have declined by 25 percent in the last decade, but gun fatalities continue to rise.
Car insurance reduced car fatalities? She seems to have the intelligence level to become a spokes person for the State Department rather than a willfully stupid congress critter.
I nominate this “lady”(and I use the term loosely)for the Marie Harf award for saying stupid things.
“Politicians and bad guys will know what you have.”
And that is the whole point.
If someone uses a gun in a criminal manner they are going to be sued. (i.e. pay for what they did) which accomplishes the same thing as this proposed bill.
We could also pay a special tax for a special fund for individuals injured by guns. (I’m not for this - just making a point). They w/b against this because it w/b anonymous.
The objective is lists of lawful gun owners and guns.
Insurance is not required to own a car. Just to drive one onto public roads. And liability for damage from gunfire is already covered in a person's homeowner insurance.
LOL!!!
