Sarah Palin Calls Lena Dunham A 'Pedophile,' Blasts Media Over Treatment Of Duggars

Sarah Palin is lashing out at the media for how it has covered the sexual abuse revelations about "19 Kids And Counting" star Josh Duggar while giving "Girls" star Lena Dunham a free pass.

Writing on her Facebook page, Palin compared the media storm over Duggar, whose parents confirmed on Fox News this week that he had “improperly touched" some of his sisters when he was a teenager, to that of Dunham, who wrote in her book "Not That Kind of Girl" that, as a 7-year-old child, she gave candy to her 1-year-old sister in exchange for kisses and a look at her vagina.

The former Alaska governor's post began with an all-caps rant targeted at Dunham:

"HEY LENA, WHY NOT LAUGH OFF EVERYONE'S SEXUAL 'EXPERIMENTS' AS YOU HAUGHTILY ENJOY REWARDS FOR YOUR OWN PERVERSION? YOU PEDOPHILE, YOU"

From what I have read, both Josh and Lena should be doing hard prison time.

Oh come on. Hard prison time? They were minors. Counseling can straighten the problems so they aren't taken to adulthood. That was the course of action that evidently was taken by the Duggars and the Juvenile court system. I don't think anything was done with Dunham and the difference in the paths of their adult lives reflect that.

The other was at least 14 when he molested several of his sisters.

I can think of cases when a 14, 15 or 16 year old was charged as an adult, but I can’t think of a case where a 7 year old has been charged as an adult.

And speaking of Dunham, a 7 year old does not have the capacity to have a guilty mind or be certified for mens rea. However, a 14 year old does have such capacity.

Sarah is absolutely right — but Dunham is a darling of the left, so her moral bankruptcy and her outrageously horrible conduct are peachy keen with lefties. Not just OK, but admirable.

I am so sick of people referring to behavior like this as "improper" or "inappropriate." Inappropriate means wearing sweatpants to church or burping out loud at the table. Improper means using your salad fork on your entree.

Sorry, Sarah... You are wrong here. A seven year old child looking at privates of another is totally innocent, even if they were abused and they re-enact it onto other kids. That child needs heavy therapy and a better home environment (removed from her own abusers - I don’t know the Dunham story) but a seven year old doesn’t know right from wrong very well. We can all agree there.

A fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen year old like the Duggar boy DOES know what he is doing is wrong. He is morally responsible for his actions bynthat age (if he is developmentally 14-16. I suppose a disabled child at that age could still not be responsible). By that age, he is becoming a pedophile if he continues to get excited over the privates of undeveloped children. Sorry.

Also, Palin needs to understand that no one is dissing any Duggars except the perverted son and his parents who covered it all up and lied and sought fame when that is not a good choice for a family with such serious issues (perp and several victims would do better in a more anonymous life).

This might be the first time I ever disagreed with Sarah.

Um, I didn’t know the Dunham person (whom I don’t know at all and don’t see her show) continued abuse into her teens? And her victim is a lesbian now? If that is true, I do think they are the same crime.

However, people need to supervise their kids more, maybe ask more questions, try to keep kids out of the same bed, etc. Maybe Dunham was sexualized (by adults) too young and just continued it with her sister as it was her “normal.” Her abusers need to share SOME responsibility.

But the media should definitely cancel her show too. Her advertisers need to back out there as well.

I can’t believe how crazy the media is going over the Duggar family compared to the big fat yawn they gave Lena Dunham when she wrote in her book that she sexually experimented with her sister. I’m sorry to have to do this, but let me remind you:

In her new book called Not That Kind of Girl – according to Bradford Thomas — she writes about “experimenting sexually with her younger sister Grace, whom she says she attempted to persuade to kiss her using ‘anything a sexual predator might do.’ In one particularly unsettling passage, Dunham experimented with her six-year younger sister’s vagina. ‘This was within the spectrum of things I did,’ she writes.”

It gets worse.

She also – according to her own book – used her sister, “essentially as a sexual outlet, bribing her to kiss her for prolonged periods and even masturbating while she is in the bed beside her.”

That makes me want to puke.

Remember the liberal media outrage?

Oh that’s right. It didn’t happen. The liberal media darling Dunham was praised for her “honest and witty” book.

The double standards make me sick. Josh Duggar touched a sleeping girls breast – a terrible thing to go. But now their ENTIRE family is punished and their hit show is canceled? He’s labeled as a pedophile? His family is crucified!

Liberals in today’s media can do no wrong, while conservatives can do no right.
