I am grateful to you, dear brother YHAOS, for your understanding of what I wrote, and especially for your recognition of what motivated me to write. I greatly feared giving offense to some of my FRiends in writing as I did.
My extended "dialogue" with my "HRC friend" disabused me of any notion that he and his organization are in any way involved or concerned primarily with issues of individual "human rights." Rather, it became fully evident to me for the first time that their motive is the utter destruction of the American civil and cultural order.
Russell Kirk, in The Roots of American Order, traces the intellectual and moral foundations of our exceptional American experiment in self-governance back to four historic cities: Jerusalem, Athens, Rome, and London.
But my "HRC friend" evidently thinks this is just so much irrelevant historical baggage that should be forgotten by the American people as soon as possible, through a sort of self-inflicted cultural lobotomy I gather. He worships at the alter of self-gratification. NOTHING can stand between what he is — and he gets to define that not only for himself, but also for you — and what he desires: total sexual license. "If it feels good do it" is the new morality.
There has never been a civil order in all of human history that has ever been able to survive, let alone thrive, under such an understanding of morality.
To put this into perspective, by way of analogy: I hereby declare myself to be a Pink Unicorn. I think and feel as a Pink Unicorn thinks and feels. Therefore, I am one. And I INSIST that you recognize me/acknowledge me as such — under governmental compulsion if necessary. And, beyond that, I insist that you love me for my courageous self-declaration as a Pink Unicorn in the first place.
Why is it so difficult for so many people to simply acknowledge that this sort of thing is evidence of profound mental disorder? Are we trying to "normalize" psychopaths in our society?
Whatever. Like you, dear brother in Christ, I do not despair over this situation, though I do expect it will play out in great social distress before it can be ameliorated to the benefit of civil society. (Assuming that is still possible....)
Meanwhile, I just pray constantly for God's blessing on our nation. I am praying for yet another great spiritual reawakening, which would be the third in our history as a people.
But if our Lord answers this prayer, be mindful that the first two spiritual reawakenings brought war in their train: first the Revolutionary War; then the so-called Civil War.
We live in perplexed times. But God's Truth shall ever prevail.

That is precisely what we are doing (and chiefly for the sake of electoral success, whatever may be the motives of the psychopaths). This “drive” to normalize deviant behavior is not confined to any one political party (which, incidentally, explains the angst suffered by so many “advisors” and large “contributors” in the face of the enormous success enjoyed by the Republican Party these past six years), and we (The US) will pay dearly for all the deviancy we are presently elevating. Your HRC “friend” will discover this some time, but never will be able to admit to it.

Let me share that I had a friend who arranged a gift of having my hair done by her hairdresser. Unknown to me I would learn when taking the chair he is homosexual...clearly so. One could say a “flamer” with all the drama etc.
Long story short...his companion arrived and conversation ensued....I had prayed for opportunity with the dresser but God had his plan which was with the companion,....for which
after my hair was done his companion and I continued talking in their garden... for four hours thereafter.
Now let me say that this man was small and very effeminate both in appearance behavior but clearly a man.
We spoke about God, the scriptures, of which he was well acquainted, and what he perceives his role is in informing other homosexuals... who struggle with their homosexuality... that God accepts them as they are..that the problem is not their homosexuality it's that ‘they’ don't accept God created them that way. So even though this sounds twisted to us...he was convinced of “his truth”.
I won't go further into details of the hours spent except to say God's Word went out clearly and boldly...but to let you know how very distorted and twisted their minds work...this man prays for satan every day with the belief that since God is love satan is worth being redeemed.
This is how seriously twisted there ‘thinking’ becomes.
Now I have a theory....it is not unusual for their sexual behavior to become violent and “messy”....so I question how can you engage with this activity , as it was for this man for 25 years, without those physical actions and substances affecting ones mind since it's an “abuse” of the body.
Mind you, that this conversation with him did not go without strong warning as the hour wound down, supported with scripture.... regardless of how he attempted to twist scripture to support his position and behavior.....my last words were warning.

That God is love hardly means that Satan "is worth being redeemed." I gather that your correspondent has either not read Revelations 20, or is actively in denial of what it plainly says:

His entire attitude seems to be, "hey, if I'm going down, I'm going to take as many human souls with me as possible" — all for implacable hatred of God who created him.
To deceive is to lie against God's Truth. The fact that so many (though not all) gays "struggle" with their homosexuality is, to me, an indication that, deep down, many know, or suspect, it to be an untruthful mode of human existence. They are at war with this truth....
But not my HRC friend: He doesn't believe in truth any more than he believes in God. To him, both are fictions. There is no truth; therefore, there is no judgment. So just do what you want. See how easy it is to justify the unjustifiable?

As with many, this fellow was familiar with scripture but only that which he felt supported his lifestyle,... and... the image of God he had created in his own minds eye...which while speaking with him was very early on all too obvious.
But I will also say with this, that had I not known the scriptures nor the Lord.... he could very easily have deceived me for his arguments on how homosexuals should see their homosexuality were convincing....which is why he obtained the audiences he had within the homosexual community.
For me it was a matter of this mans salvation Betty, and after that warning.....yet I found as we went along these overlapped one another as God’s Spirit moved within these conversations... with His Word so powerful even I was amazed!..... God is so marvelous in every way when He moves through us as we also learn... even though it’s coming from our own mouths, it’s His Spirit using His Word. Wonderful beyond words!
On my drive home I was so in awe of God...of the power of His Word to “battle” false application of His Word by using His Word rightly. At times it had seemed I had just a small taste of what Jesus encountered in the Wilderness...because the exchange of scripture with this man was so similar.....
I left ‘Knowing” that everything this man needed to hear was indeed said and stated clearly.....but I also learned how really twisted a mans mind can become after 25 years of the lifestyle he was living and the deception he has believed.
As for your HRC friend ....it seems to me there are more and more people with similar thoughts ‘regarding truth’....” There is no truth; therefore, there is no judgment.... So just do what you want”... so yes it’s therefore easy to justify the unjustifiable to themselves.

Oh my, in addition to personally rejecting God's Word, he seems to have set himself up as a false prophet: He will bring others unto destruction with him. Very satanic.... You were principally concerned with his salvation. Yet he rejects Christ; and there is no salvation outside of Christ. He is dooming himself, committing spiritual suicide, and tempting others to do the same.
But you were right to witness unto the Lord in this matter, following the wisdom of Ezekiel. Even he is a "neighbor," within the meaning of God's Great Commandment, and is deserving of our charity. Sure, he is a sinner; we are all sinners. All our neighbors are sinners. We may hate the sin; but it does not follow that we are justified in hating the sinner. It is right to have concern for his spiritual welfare, and to try to persuade him to follow the path that leads to the Lord's truth and light, that he may be redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, and not be condemned by the judgement he already fully bears within himself.
It is not surprising to me to learn that you sensed the Holy Spirit had moved you to eloquence in your witness to him. He knows what he needs to know. God created him free to reject it. Yet I think you are right, 25 years in the clutches of perversion may very likely have poisoned, not only his mind, but his spirit. Such a "lifestyle" choice, put into practice, has a nasty way of reducing one's sexual partner to the status of an object, a tool of self-gratification, thereby denying the full humanity of the partner. I agree...Satanic...and it was apparent as we spoke. Many times the Lord’s Spirit was so active in questioning him and then using scripture to counter his misuse of scripture with the truth.....then we’d talk about those scriptures at which in no time ‘he’d deviate to something else’ as soon as the truth was doing what it does so well....bringing him back to what he was attempting to dodge.
It was simply amazing Betty, to see God’s Spirit actively engaged throughout this long conversation trying to reach this man’s mind and heart with the truth.

The religion forum is rife with such blindness because people refuse to read the scriptures for themselves under the leadership of God’s Spirit, believing a priesthood of a man-made institution, combined with institutionalize rituals will make them acceptable to God so they may attain Heaven.

What you say is true,.... but I cannot help but remember that Jesus told us this time would come .... we are indeed seeing the beginnings of which have been in motion for quite some time.
Satan’s followers (the leaders of the One World Government of Antichrist) are at work constantly and spend many millions of dollars on all kinds of campaigns (both within and without the church) to get Christians to completely fall away from the faith.
As it’s written....”Let no man deceive you by any means:.... for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first... (II Thessalonians 2:1,2)....which includes those of the church in mainline Christian churches.
We can also expect to see true Bible believing Christians come under ‘more’ and ‘more’ criticism and pressure to comply with the form of Christianity that’s being dished out by the media, the press, and the United Nations. It’s ecumenical, multicultural, tolerant of other faiths and religions.
We do recognize we are witnessing the unraveling and disintegration of Western civilization.

Hello Alamo-Girl....Yes...this was an interesting thread ....not often can we find such to express encounters and the difficulties of witnessing to the homosexual community.
Having found myself in situations to do just that it’s remarkably clear how very disturbed and twisted their minds, hearts and souls become the longer they remain within that community....eventually leading them into more and more bizarre and dangerous behavior. It’s pit of darkness.
