Yes..I am attempting to reschedule as many lessons as I can...doubling up , as I really can’t afford this, but I MUST go. I have to see my mother again.
I think you know what I mean.

Not so tall, she’s almost the shortest on her team. But, she’s still a giant in our hearts!

Thanks, galz, for a great road trip...CA would be very pleasant this time of year compared to Texas! LOL!
I got home at about 3pm and all went well. It was cooler here than it was in the D/FW area and MUCH cooler than Corpus! It was a wonderful weekend!

Spent several months at Fort Hungry Lizard in the late 80s, lots of interesting wild life. Saw Elk herds, the squirrels lie in ground holes, hit a deer with my car going back to King City, and one had a coyote join me while I was running.
First time I went we drove down PCH and came in the back way.
And some old Air Defenders might know what I am talking about here, was on top of a mountain and as I looked right I saw the intake of an A7 coming at high speed about 100 meters away. I just had time to grab my hat and crouch as Kato announced he was on station flying over at about 20 meters (upside down).

Glad you had a good time, and are safely home.

Softball season just ended. They took 3rd place out of 5 teams in the 11-12 age group...pretty good, considering the 2 top teams are our All Stars and the Traveling team.

I think it was a great success! Everyone made it all happen and it’s wonderful when so many people can get together from all parts of the country and just FEEL like old friends!
You would be one of those. :)
