Didn’t any of them test their robots before entering them in the challenge?

They are still in their ED209 phase of stair handling.

Didnt any of them test their robots before entering them in the challenge? I am sure they did, but that was an environment that they control. This is the robots operating in an unfamiliar environment.
To: Vince Ferrer
Looks like a week at the Gun Club.

Yes, all robots fall. But in the immortal words of TE R-66 CAT7765530 SER0889-E 987366,
"10110 10101100101010 10010101001. 00101010100010101 0101, 010101001000000011, 00101100010100! 0101010110101011101101 011001010 10001111001 1111010011001, 0010101001 010010101 001010101 0101001000 00 00100101010 1010101010."

That makes no sense. Why would anyone test his invention solely in a controlled environment if he knew it needed to function in an unfamiliar environment?

Wow! Very emotional stuff.
I thought the most moving part was: 00101100010100! 0101010110101011101101 011001010 10001111001 1111010011001
It nearly brought me to tears.

Even in falling over, they look disturbingly human. We’re in real trouble when Skynet becomes self-aware.
To: bramps
But they are not true robots. They are remotely controlled machines.

I agree. It's the nuances - what's between the lines - that get me.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)
