Jesus was referring to heaven, where He sits on the right hand of the Father and intercedes 24/7 for us.
When Jesus died and rose again, He won the victory over death and sin. He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in every believer so we can shed His light throughout every aspect of this world - including government.

Candidates who operate under the premise that conservatism is the enemy are destined to lose out of the gate - you’re working so hard to win votes of the radical homofascists hat you’re never going to get as well as the pro-abort crowd. Working so hard, that in fact, you’re OK with alienating the conservative base as Walker has done today.

Amen to that!! America will never fix our abysmal fiscal and national security problems if God’s people don’t first humble themselves, cry out to God for forgiveness of national sins and work to right the wrongs the SCOTUS instituted in the 60s and 70s — namely removing prayer from public school and legalizing abortion — and fight to reverse the trend of gay marriage.
These, IMHO, are not “losing” issues — it’s just that we haven’t had a POTUS candidate since Reagan that really fought for them.
