Friend, you may choose to disassociate with sinners as you choose
Though that excludes you from associating with a great many people
I don’t know which God you follow but many of them love even sinners
And I never knew of a Saint who refused to associate with sinners
Not that you are striving for sainthood...
Got sanctimony? People discriminate every day on a wide variety of issues. This is an easy one for me.
I was speaking from the context of the article, having to work for or do business with someone that goes against my business plan or beliefs. We have freedom of choice and conscience nominally still but the progressives like you would take that away!
As for your response, I see the logic of Judas Iscariot behind it...a puffed up nose up in the air supercilious attitude. Ohhhh you wouldn’t associate with sinners....oooooooo!=”ought not that perfume had been sold and given to the pooor?”(Judas criticism of Christ to which Christ replied, ironically now given the history of Judas,”She was preparing me for my burial!”)
You may want to re-read certain portions of the Scripture. Associating with sinners never includes celebrating their sin or saying it’s OK.
By forcing this Christian man to celebrate aberrant and sinful behavior, they are making him go 180 degrees against his beliefs, which are clearly delineated on their website.
Yes, they did. In an attempt to help them forego their sinful lives, not to help them celebrate or justify their sins.
Associating with sinners is not the point.
This wasn’t about the business owner hanging out with anyone, sinner or not, in his free time. This was about the business owner being paid for his skills for doing something that he objects to on a 1st amendment basis (right to free speech and freedom of religion).
I’m so sick of the “Christians don’t want to associate with sinners but they are sinners themselves” accusations. Anyone who claims that Christians “h8” homosexuals or claims Christians are “homophobic” is a bigot against Christians.
Apparently you think you are.
