Defund HUD.

Problem solved.

The solution is simple. We bought 32 acres in central KY. Our nearest neighbor is several hundred yards away.

Seems to me (and probably others here) that he launched a war on decent, civil society upon assuming the Presidency.

The Obama administration is pulling out all the stops to launch a legal and regulatory assault on suburbs nationwide. HUD's soon-to-be-released regulation, in the works since 2013, will compel affluent suburbs to build more high-density, low-income housing, plus, of course, sewers, water lines, bus routes and other changes needed to support it.

During the Clinton administration HUD proceeded with plans to open a home for various sorts in a Berkeley, Calif. neighborhood. The neighbors objected strenuously and peacefully.

Roberta Achtenberg of Clinton's HUD launched investigations of citizens of Berkeley, Calif. who had opposed HUD proposals with letter-writing, pamphleteering or other forms of peaceful protest. Achtenberg ordered the protesters to turn over diaries, phone messages and other personal papers. She threatened to fine the protesters $50,000.

If memory serves a federal judge cleared the way for bureaucrats and Ms Achtenberg herself, personally, to be held accountable and open to legal action.

Court document

I did not read much of the document but I do recall reading that the decisions left bureaucrats open to be personally responsible for their actions on the job and they could be sued as individuals.

For example the court wrote, "When government officials violate citizens' clearly established First Amendment rights, however, we will not apply the doctrine of qualified immunity to defeat a remedy of damages to which the citizens are entitled under Bivens." I did not research Bivens. para #92

Another FReeper did know about Bivens and posted this reply

The point as I see it is resist peacefully and if your inalienable rights are violated sue the government employees.

Can we ever reach a point where we say, that life is unfair, and that there are limits to what we can do to ensure liberal standards of fairness or equality???

Or is communism and equality with all of us equal at a very low level the end game for these leftists???

Sad to say, if you get too many section 8 residents in an area, formerly nice residential areas go ghetto.

Katy, TX/far West Houston is turning into apartment city. No doubt many of these units will/already qualify for HUD assistance. Guess what? The crime rate has increased, noticeably, in the last several months :(

Just as soon as HUD builds a ghetto next to the Kennedy Compound and next door to the Obama’s in Chicago, then and only then will I believe it!

I really want to see HUD force anyone in my area build federal ghetto's and duplexes for the Mexican Nationals who break into our Country and then demand we “respect” them!

Now that will be extremely amusing to watch!

Here’s a novel idea, have obozzo build his presidential library on the south side of Chicago, in the middle of the slums, without tearing any down.

President Obama is not welcome in my white-flight suburban bedroom community home...Not because he identifies as being black, but by his being a flaming assh*le.

The federal government (FHA and EPA) and local governments (zoning and building codes) in league with socialist utopians (Garden City Movement) and big real estate developers created the suburbs. Now all those same forces are joining hands to reverse engineer the city. What could go wrong?

The Progressives’ programs and policies have destroyed places like Baltimore, Detroit and every other major metropolitan center. Now they want to move their most loyal voters out into the suburbs where they can prey on their new neighbors.

And middleclass taxpayers get to pick up the tab. It’s just a continuation of Obamanomics.

There is no right to live wherever one wants.

Never has been.

I’d like to live in certain places I cannot afford.

I don’t sit there and say the government should give me housing there, or in any way do anything to force others to let me live there.

The left covets. Liberals COVET. Socialists COVET. The urban black community COVETS. Everything about them is coveting their neighbors goods.

Where’s my free sh1t == coveting.

They would do well to stop doing it and work on increasing their own goods, through working for it and earning it.

I’m sorry, I just don’t see “Department of Housing and Urban Development” in my version of the constitution.

Maybe I have a previous release.

Can someone send me the latest rev with “Department of Housing and Urban Development” listed in it?
