Donald Trump may be a Republican, but his favorite president of the last four is none other than Bill Clinton.

“There was a little spirit,” Trump said in an interview set to air on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Thursday. “Frankly, had he not met Monica, had he not met Paula, had he not met various and sundry semi-beautiful women, he would have had a much better deal going.”

Of the last four? Hmmm..."of the last four"...yeah, that's a tough one.

What do you mean by "favorite"?

Is he the best of some of the worst presidents the nation's ever had, and all since the 1980s?

Well, he's not the one I actually voted for either opportunity, but it's easy for me to see why some would agree with Trump on that.

Now...if he went back any farther and came back with the same answer, then "Houston, we've got a problem." No way that would be forgiven in the Republican primary.

Otherwise, I think that's politically a fairly shrewd answer and should keep him in the race for another day.
