Obama isn’t much, but the United States and NATO is, and Putin is probably stupider than Obama.
Putin seems to be deconstructing Russia, and rebuilding and unifying NATO.
One of those alliances where we know which side the Swedes are on, and they observe and participate with us, while not joining us, but with the understanding that if Russia forced them out of their neutrality, that Sweden's military forces would have experience in coordinating with ours.

Swedish forces participated in Afghanistan, but they are not a NATO member.
Sweden has special status and is officially a “neutral” power. It is not a part of NATO, however.

Sweden is a strange country. The destructive behavior they are engaging now is a swing from their other kind of behavior. Up until the 70s Swedish Racial Purity Institution was sterilizing Sami (northern tribe) women in order to advance the purity of Swedish race.
