What are they going to do? Give a patdown? Just another gun free zone like the Chatleson church. Liberalism is a mental disease.

It's not that they are able to administer their policy, it's that they think they have a right to act like two bit fascist dictators, and that they have the chutzpah to suggest such a thing.

We need to stomp dogsh*t out of these totalitarian wannabes.

Uber did something else stupid....they strengthened the case for those who want them to unionize, etc, considering their drivers as employees.

This was really really stupid....on the other hand.....how the hell would they ever know?

Wait a minute. If I understand the premise of both Uber and Lift, the drivers are not employees and use their own vehicles.
If so, this rule is going to be pretty darn hard to inforce. At least before the fact. After the fact,it ain’t gonna make any difference anyway.
If I was driving for either, I for Damn sure would not change my habit.

Those 4 would be wise to refuse openly homosexual passengers from riding with them.

“Well, your honor, the study reports that have been submitted for the record as Exhibits “A” through “J” show this deviant population of society are predisposed to incidents of rage, violence, suicide, and murder, and that their chosen lifestyle has caused these individuals to become vectors for many life-threatening diseases. When it became apparent to my client that the two plaintiffs were engaged in anal intercourse on the back seat of his automobile, he felt that his life was in danger quickly pulled over and made the plaintiffs exit his vehicle at gunpoint, then drove away. How was my client to know that the area he had stopped at was a Klu Klux Klan/Aryan Nation rally?”

I guess if Uber is valued at $50 Billion...some budding entrepreneur will start up a CCW taxi app.

I don't think their value is that high since the courts ruled that the drivers are employees, not independent contractors and now telling drivers that they can't carry to defend themselves will have a further negative impact.

Well. I guess if someone wants to rob someone, AND have a getaway car call Uber.

Uber just announced to every dirtbag criminal, “Hey, come rob our drivers.....they’re unarmed!”

So if they’re employees, will the company now be required to pay for any worker benefits, workers compensation, the fuel, car insurance, any future uniforms, ensure they take breaks, keep log books, create employee Human Resources departments, have driver supervisors, managers etc?

And will the company be 100% liable for all the traffic collisions which occur multiple times per day involving their new employees?

Is this all correct?

I don’t recall the specifics, but they were sued by one of their drivers for compensation and the courts ruled that the drivers are employees not independent contractors which is how Uber kept their costs down. The ruling was made due to very, specific controls Uber placed on their drivers.

Thanks. I’m just a bit confused about this. If they’re employees this opens an entire can of worms up for the company.

In fact so debilitating for the company watch for them to concoct schemes like “Selling franchises” to their employee in an attempt to save the companies butt.

The explanation is obvious: The board of directors of Uber all moonlight as armed robbers.
