Nobody’s wearing perfect halos here.

Chattel slaves were a “karmic” (so to speak) ball and chain upon anyone who had them, in North or in South.

The affrontery of the South was a bit greater in the situation, though. They went and declared themselves free.. the Lord was like, not so fast, not when your slaves aren’t free.

So - they declared themselves free.

Just as the thirteen original colonies did. They declared themselves free from the rule of George III.

They freely joined a union. At that time where was it written that they couldn’t change their minds?

You really like to speak for the Lord a lot don’t you?

Would that be Jesus or his Father?

Sorry, but this is the same exact gripe blacks and anti-American liberals use about America, in general. Endless griping about slavery and the Hypocrisy of the Founders. I.e., America is evil - except during the Civil War. (Please note who always looks at it that way.) Liberals love Lincoln, BTW.

Yet, much more miraculously than people who do not study the RevWar know, the US came to be within a short time.
