Beyond that, the only answer to would-be murderers is to defend against them.

One answer to this particular case would be to prosecute the kids father to the fullest extent of the law for purchasing a handgun for someone he should have known was not legally able to own one.

My attitude toward the incident;
1) It should *not* have happened
2) I wasn't there when it happened
3) I've never had *any* contact with the perp(s).
4) Anyone responsible for those deaths should be put down.
