Can't say that I disagree with them.

See my tag line. My Grandfather warned me to NEVER think that what happened in Germany, couldn't happen in America, if we weren't vigilant.

Meanwhile, the American Sheeple are waiting breathlessly for the next "Dancing with the Stars" to start.

It doesn’t. But most people still are under the illusion that it is the land of the free.

I wish I could muster a lot of facts to refute their argument. Unfortunately, most of the facts from the last 25 years or so actually support their argument.

I think it was Huey Long who, when asked if America could ever turn to fascism, said yes it could, but it would be called anti-fascism

Germans appear to be smarter than Americans. That, or the smart Americans are keeping quiet and sitting on their ammo.

How much coverage did the Ferguson business receive in Germany? Maybe the sharp recent drop in the Germans’ perception of American freedom came about because they thought that Michael Brown was wantonly deprived of his freedom, and his life, by a racist cop, and that this is typical of the US.

Hey Adam Taylor of the Washington Post - like the Germans, I don’t think the United States stands for freedom anymore. Not even freedom of the press.

Seems the press gives a damn about freedom of speech - - except for themselves - - which as we all know ISN’T freedom of speech - it’s ‘privilege’...

So Adam Taylor - run to one of your editors - some guy who gets his leads and storied from a democrat operative... Tell him not to pretend to ‘weight out the merits of accepting stories from democrat operatives... because that’s a joke. Admit to running gussied up press releases from one group.

If your newspaper was honest they would run with the following story -— and put it on the front page. But your editors are dependent on democrats to feed them and they’re afraid to stand up to their handlers... so it probably won’t happen.

So here it is Adam Taylor:

Reason.com speaks out on DOJ subpoenas for online commenter info, reveals wide net

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/06/23/doj-reason-subpoenas-gag-order/

New information released by Reason.com reveals that the Department of Justice cast an even wider net than previously thought when it demanded the libertarian news site provide information on its commenters.

After slapping Reason.com with a subpoena for IP and server information that would allow investigators to go after six readers, Reason says it was then ordered to stay quiet.

The Department of Justice claimed several comments on the site crossed the free-speech line. In a June 2 grand jury subpoena first obtained by Popehat’s Ken White, the government urged Reason to give up digital data on its commenters.

“The subpoena commands Reason to provide the grand jury any and all identifying information Reason has about participants in what the subpoena calls a ‘chat,’” White wrote.

Several readers posted on Reason.com about wanting to kill the federal judge who sentenced Ross Ulbricht, founder of online black market Silk Road, to life in prison.

Initially, it was thought that the government went after only the people whose comments constituted a threat.

However, with the government gag order now lifted, Reason says the subpoena also covered “obviously harmless comments as: ‘I hope there is a special place in hell reserved for that horrible woman,’ and ‘I’d prefer a hellish place on Earth to be reserved for her as well.’”
