I wonder if this decision might cause some red states to start eliminate all state-sanctioning of marriage. I would like to see a movement in this direction. It is the most reasonable response to an “un-defining” of marriage. If marriage no longer has a definition, why even try to sanction it?

Does anyone remember how many states voted against same-sex marriage?
The logic that the Republicans will somehow win more elections once they are defeated on the social issues is deeply flawed. The error in your thinking is that the Republican Party will also lose its electoral base of social conservatives when those issues are gone. Social conservatives won't have to vote for the lessor of two evils once those two evils become indistinguishable. Your "fiscal conservative" and libertarian candidates will never be able to hold a lasting majority as they are forced to continually move further left chasing a dominant Democrat Party.
The only "silver lining" in this is that social conservatives will no longer feel obligated to vote for RINOs and then feel like they have to take a shower after getting out of the voting booth.
Hitler was seen as the "voice of reason" by many Germans and the Kaiser as well.
He knew what he wanted and was willing to say so.
The German people were looking for leadership and he provided it.
I agree with nothing the man did but his rise to power is an example to be studied.

Hah, They have to get over our mountain first, and I promise, We can see them coming a lot sooner than they’ll know we’re there. We could drop 2-300 before they could figure out where the shots were coming from (suppressors, and echos).
