I’ve never kept up with Bristol. I knew she had one child out of wedlock but as far as what she has done with her life since, I didn’t know. So, now she is pregnant again out of wedlock. These children need a mom and dad but it appears she isn’t thinking of that. I now care even less what she does with her life. I feel sorry for the children.

I object to this whole notion that this is a Mistake. A Child is NEVER a Mistake. It was always meant to be this way.

10 years from Now when that child is running and playing in the Sun, I dare you to walk to him/her and tell them it Their Life was a Mistake. I wasn't a Mistake, and neither were you. The Child is all that matters. Talk about being "Pro-Life" I have seen some nasty come out for this unborn baby already.

It’s certainly a sin to have sex out of wedlock. That’s not casting stones. That’s simply telling it like it is. And, yeah. We’re all sinners. The distinction is some repent and some don’t. The fact that Bristol Palin “doesn’t want a lecture” sure sounds like she’s not the slightest bit repentant. Again, that’s between her and God, but I sure don’t have to applaud that sort of attitude. I suppose you could say I accept the child, but I don’t accept Bristol’s public example of sin. As an example to others, she’s terrible.

I agree with what you say. It’s too bad that family is in the cross hairs of media who pounce on every utterance they make. However, Bristol seems to WANT to live her life in front of media. That is bad for Sarah since the connection is there but that’s the way it is.

I'll weigh in with what I think is a plausible explanation but YMMV. Recall that in June 2009, the evil liberal David Letterman of See-BS uttered these seething words of pure hate:

"Sarah Palin went to a Yankees game yesterday. There was one awkward moment during the seventh-inning stretch: her daughter [Bristol] was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez."

And then the floodgates were opened wide. Liberals of all stripes characterized poor Bristol using offensive terms like "slut", "floozy", "whore", "strumpet" and other such language that decorum prevents me from repeating here on Free Republic, a family forum.

As I see it, the endless torrent of hate may have effected young Bristol Palin, not yet reaching adulthood at that time. She was vilified like no other has ever been and subjected to an unending stream of malicious mockery. Words do indeed have meaning and they can leave scars. While not excusing this particular case of poor decision-making on her part, I believe that knowing the context that led up to this is important. Recall that the left is the enemy and they seek to destroy all that's good and wholesome. In conclusion, I see that Miss Bristol Palin was specifically targeted for attack by the lamestream media, led by the reprehensible David Letterman and she was wounded deeply.

First of all Bristol Palin's new child is hardly a b*st*rd. He or she is a precious Gift from God. And as for being a rich "white" woman, recall that her heritage includes some Eskimo (Yup'ik) blood and that Bristol, while well-off and quite responsible when it comes to finance, is hardly rich in the league of vile leftists like Michael Moore, Warren Buffett, George Soros and Barbra Streisand.

Miss Bristol Palin will be an exceptional parent to Tripp and his soon-to-be sibling.
