Walker said we should just focus on economics

Howard Baker said that in 1981: said the economy was so weak there was no way to deal with "social issues" too. Then he called the modest tax cut a "riverboat gamble." They have been saying this ever since. Reagan turned to Baker to save his administration in 1987. Within a year Anthony Kennedy went to the Supreme Court. Few if any represent conservatives in Washington.

I don’t see many defying the ruling. They remember what happened to Judge Moore in Montgomery, AL, when he stood up for Christianity.

None of them will stand up any more than Jebbie did to save Terri Schiavo. The Leviathan prevails with the consent of the American people. I didn’t know that it had been Jebbie pushing John Roberts in 2005. Makes sense now

No civil disobedience is possible in a totalitarian state.

Rick Santorum feels like standing up now. Why didn’t he do it in 2012 against Romney? We kept waiting for him to strike, but he just bunted, bunted, bunted. You’d think without Specter around his neck, he would make a forceful run. I don’t see him getting beyond 2 percent this round.

Only civil disobedience of a magnitude to get the attention of the tyrants will matter.

Protective legislation is worth a try, but we are not going to write legislation that will protect religious freedoms more than the First Amendment. If Amendment 1 of the Constitution is failing us, what will mere laws do for us? They will be about as good as the federal DOMA and the state amendments and laws. The judges can still overturn them or render them meaningless.

Excellent analysis. That's why we are doomed to totalitarianism, a word the American people can't spell but will in time learn its dimensions.

Well, as Roman L. Hruska, late great senator from NE, might say, “even jellyfishes need a little representation too.”

Leviathan, that's a great word, I'll remember that one.

In essence the SCOTUS has made their decision. Let THEM enforce it!

great point. they wrote the law now promulgate the CFR for how to implement, and start to enforce. This might apply to most of the crap they have been doing for the past 100 years.

Looks like Santorum, Cruz, Jindal, and Huckabee are the stalwarts. Walker and Perry weaker.

I am glad that six were on our side even if two were weaker then the others. Those are the six that should only be running.........If I was GOP, that is who I would accept. If you can’t support a main tenant of the Republican Party then you don’t get to run......The two weak ones I would put on notice to shape up.....yep even if one of them is who I support......We need to get this country back in order ASAP.....it won’t be easy but can be done.

You are so right! Short of civil disobedience by the affected states, all this is hot air.

The headline says: “Here’s What Every 2016 Candidate Has to Say...” and yet, I don’t see Ted Cruz even mentioned.

Curiously, YOU don’t mention him either, excerpt ? in your “Everyone else linguini-spined or spineless.” (?)

Yet Cruz spoke out most forcefully against it. Guess you’re backing someone else,? Which is fine, but can we be honest?

Ted Cruz: “ Ted Cruz has been pretty vocal today about his dissatisfaction with the Supreme Court ruling in favor of both Obamacare and gay marriage. He told Sean Hannity earlier that the two rulings have marked “some of the darkest 24 hours in our nation’s history.”

read the rest of what he said - hardly “linguini-spined or spineless.” (He not only condemns - but proposes real remedies...
which is why the media is doing a black out on him.

You too?

I do apologize - you DID mention Cruz as one of the ones who spoke out.

Way past my bed time, my eyes aren’t working too well - time to turn in...

My heart isn’t working too well tonight either -

I’ll be 80 in a couple weeks. I’ve seen a lot over the decades. NEVER thought to see the death of our great country.

the schools have done their job - totally indoctrinated the last 2-3 decades of school children - now young adults.
They haven’t got a clue what the lifestyle is really about - or what is now coming down the pike -

I lot of people will now learn - too late, I fear.

"Looks like Santorum, Cruz, Jindal, and Huckabee are the stalwarts. Walker and Perry weaker."

The character of a candidate can be seen in his dishonest bandwagon of supporters.

Gov. Walker Statement on SCOTUS Marriage Ruling Madison, Wis.

--

Governor Walker today issued the following comment on the Supreme Court's marriage decision:

“I believe this Supreme Court decision is a grave mistake. Five unelected judges have taken it upon themselves to redefine the institution of marriage, an institution that the author of this decision acknowledges ‘has been with us for millennia.’ In 2006 I, like millions of Americans, voted to amend our state constitution to protect the institution of marriage from exactly this type of judicial activism. The states are the proper place for these decisions to be made, and as we have seen repeatedly over the last few days, we will need a conservative president who will appoint men and women to the Court who will faithfully interpret the Constitution and laws of our land without injecting their own political agendas. As a result of this decision, the only alternative left for the American people is to support an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to reaffirm the ability of the states to continue to define marriage.

“Recognizing that our Founders made our Constitution difficult to amend, I am reminded that it was first amended to protect our ‘First Freedom’ - the free exercise of religion. The First Amendment does not simply protect a narrow ‘right to worship,’ but provides broad protection to individuals and institutions to worship and act in accordance with their religious beliefs. In fact, the Wisconsin constitution explicitly protects the rights of conscience of our citizens. I can assure all Wisconsinites concerned a bout the impact of today’s decision that your conscience rights will be protected, and the government will not coerce you to act against your religious beliefs.

“I call on the president and all governors to join me in reassuring millions of Americans that the government will not force them to participate in activities that violate their deeply held religious beliefs. No one wants to live in a country where the government coerces people to act in opposition to their conscience. We will continue to fight for the freedoms of all Americans.”

It is exactly WHY I ditched Walker. He doesn’t understand the fundamental destruction of Worldview of any child raised in such a vile, toxic culture where images of homosexuals will be rampant-—more than on “TV now——and those images are worth a thousand words to little children.

They can’t erase them....They will be embedded and normalized and they will be incapable of a Christian Worldview without feeling they are really evil or haters.

It destroys Right Reason and Natural Law and God’s Law-—ALL the FIRST PRINCIPLES of the US Constitution. We have NO Rule of Law (Higher Law/God’s)-—we just have Rule of Satan-—and the satanic pagan ethics like the Weimar Republic will create the Minds like those of the Hitler Youth and the “good” German.

The promotion of sodomy IS the promotion of Paganism or Satanism or the Worship of Ba’al or the Muslim religion where sodomy is king. It is anti-christian and anti-Natural Law Theory-—basis of all our Natural Rights which NEVER included sodomizing others or PRETENDING males and females are interchangeable which is MARXISM and IRRATIONAL..

Governors should respond by giving the finger to SCOTUS.

Please don't hold your breath waiting on any Governor to grow a size 10 pair.
