I don't know but what we're running this thing so informally, we can all be first....except maybe I'll just "deem" you can be the First of the First today.

(See how fast a little power goes to some peoples' heads? ....you may now all salute with Bronx Cheers and/or The Bird)

I was not anti Rubio. When I saw these numbers and who took it, I was so angry that day, I wanted some answers as to why and what are you doing with that much money. I thought he had sold us out.. he was the deciding vote. I still want to know why they all can be bought and who can we trust to work for us any more? Bribery in congress is dangerous.. the highest bidder can make them do anything, so it seems. If you can prove this is false reporting, then I’d like to know. I wish that to be the case, but doubt it is false.

First, I'm with or maybe a tad beyond you as far as trusting anybody in DC. And/or the media. Just check my handle.

Second, I grew up just outside Chicago before I got sent to play wargames, so my questions about corruption in the government aren't IF somebody got turned so much as WHEN or (just to satisfy curiosity sometimes) HOW...

Finally, one of the career paths I didn't take back in the 60's was Journalism and I'm almost as PO'd about the gross prostitution of the profession as I am about the trail of crap and corruption it has left from 'Nam to this past week or two of...merde.

Okay, so I'm sorry about dropping into editor mode and yelling about "sources" but No, I'm not going to bother with "proving false reporting": Every Tom, Dick & Harry with a web connection can call himself anything and put out all the babble he wants. I just look at it, file it along with the other two dozen or so other buffoons and then set for a few hours and see if I can extract a fragment of fact from all the over utilized cat litter. (I would, however, suggest you find some different "news" sources...that link you supplied made my Security Suites go absolutely Medieval about spam, popups and virus attacks...)

So, the Punch Line. Ryan, Rubio, Boehner, Pelosi, pick any one or all of the above and the only conclusion I can draw is the entire system of government, top down to damn dogcatcher is FUBAR. I'm just really not that concerned about any of the candidates for POTUS, simply because it's just too early to take any of this stuff seriously, I'm still bothered by thoughts that the election process is as compromised and corrupted as everything else associated with the current system and the media's just pushing this storyline to provide cover for the real problems. Like the Economy, Iran,.....

I can't prove your story is wrong, but then I can't convince myself right now that we'll even have an election. This whole deal could just morph into the Dark Ages or CW2 in the next news cycle and I still have to top off my water supply and the ammo locker.

Saint Leibowitz, pray for us all. -30-

I’m with you on most of your post. That source is not one I get my news from... I saw it when someone else posted it. I don’t hear anyone mentioning all of the monies being paid.. so I wondered if they (in congress) regularly get paid for votes such as this one was. It was an important item to hand to obama.. I was so angry I wanted to post it everywhere I could... if they thought it was acceptable .. especially when he was a candidate and you’d think he would have better sense than to accept a bribe on the deciding vote. Rush happened to be talking about Rubio not being one of the wealthy ones... and I thought 3.9 million would make a person wealthy. Or, in the event, taking money didn’t mean ya actually kept it. Trying to figure out their reasoning in an election year, to accept bribes was not working out for me. I still have not heard anyone talking about this on the news or on talk radio. Even Tray Goudy took a much smaller amount, and I really like him. I’m trying to process it so it makes sense and so far, it hasn’t.

Sounds like we've all got a lot of misplaced trust and political/financial support to revisit before next Fall, don't it?
