SYRACUSE, N.Y. – School children who qualify for free and reduced lunches can receive free summer meals at thousands of locations throughout New York.
Last year, almost 360,000 children participated in the summer meals program statewide, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office.
Persons with disabilities, also can receive free nutritious meals and snacks at the summer meals sites.
To find a free meal site near you, use this website. You can search the entire nation by clicking on "find sites."

All the "unaccompanied children" being brought into the country will be distributed to school districts throughout the nation. The local property owners will be expected to feed, clothe and educate them.
Before long, property taxes will dwarf the rest of the taxes we pay.
And when the property owners lose their property because they can't afford the taxes, it will be given to "unaccompanied children" for free.

If you get something for free, it just means somebody else paid for it.

used to be, parents would feed their children (and any that could not do so would receive help from their families, friends, communities, churches, charities, etc...so they could feed their own kids)
I guess that’s just too old-fashioned nowadays?
What gets me is that the parents of these poor children are already getting food stamps/EBT benefits to feed their kids. This is double dipping.
But the way the liberals and media twist things, any politician wanting to end these programs due to Double dipping will be accused of wanting kids to go hungry.
Same reasoning as how Paul Ryan wants to throw Grandma off a cliff just proposing changes to medicare. Same liberal hysterical mindset will make anyone shy away from being critical of These feedinG programs.

yes, then, it is double-dipping...
i also object because the children should receive the attentions, ministrations, provisioning of their parents, not the national government or its bureaucracy
so that...if some parents really can’t afford to feed their own children, then I will pay taxes (preferably locally, but anyway that’s another issue).. to make sure they can feed their kids................but I want the parents to do it, not the State

Nothing is free including summer meals provided by the federal and state governments.
Handouts or any form of government provided assistance should not be referred to as “free”.
They were paid for by people who earned the money and had it extorted as taxes under the threat of fines or imprisonment.
Every person receiving a handout should be made to understand that.
Step 1: Go catch a mouse.
Step 2: Go to restaurant and order a big meal, hopefully one with some soup, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Step 3: Eat 90% of the meal.
Step 4: Put dead mouse in the remaining soup, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Step 5: Scream really loud!
Free meal!
Just remember kids it is all free. Vote for democrats and you will get more free stuff. Those mean conservatives want to take your free stuff away. Remeber vote early and vote often children.
