In Colorado (where we live), gay marriage was decided in the courts last year. I was helping with a charity event several weeks later, in a group of maybe 20 church-going evangelicals. I think I was the only Catholic present. The subject came up, and only two of us knew that gay marriage was already legal. No one was shocked. It was more like, "Really? Are you sure?"
I don't know how you are going to get anything done when people have no idea what is going on in their own state. Totally not slamming evangelicals, either. Many Catholics wouldn't have known either.
caesar does as caesar wishes. If these folks were focused on their families and faith as opposed to the latest political saga, then they’re probably on the right path.
I moved to Colorado (Arvada-Denver) from Wilmington, NC more than a month ago, the courts did the same thing there as well, then Mr. Obama and the media have the gall to say “In 38 states gay marriage is legal, when I was elected (in 2008) only 2 states had legalized it” Jacka** leaves out the fact that courts and not legislatures or citizen voted petitions were responsible for this “legalization” and that most had only occurred within the last year-year and a half!!
