In business, you fear the person who has nothing to lose and everything to gain because he will fight you till the end. In politics, you fear the person who has everything to lose and nothing to gain, especially if he has totalitarian control.
These general principals are why NBC and every GOP presidential candidate should be very fearful right now of Donald Trump. He won't play by the rules in politics because he has run a totalitarian regime. He will also fight till the end because he wrongfully believes he has nothing to lose in business.
The proof for that analysis is already underway. Less than 24 hours after NBC severed its business ties, Trump began throwing dirty bombs at the network. As a former producer and executive producer with NBC in New York, I can tell you Trump knew exactly where to hit.

I agree that this kind of press just helps the Donald. He knows it and how to play it too.
But... “Politics is suppose to be civil”?
Politics is a bloodsport. The Rats are not civil and Trump knows how to handle them and he is. It is refreshing.
Thank you, Trump.
His greatest asset is his willingness to speak out and say truths that regular politicians are too wussy to say.
Anyone who pisses off the liberals is ok in my book right now. I know he’s not in it for the actual run, but I’m enjoying this part immensely.
Trump said things that resonate to Americans.
Not so much to the devious, lying proObama
GOP or the MSM, however.
...we wants the press...
Are you a gibsmedat who doesnt like Trump?
After reading the whole whiney screed, The guy comes across as pajama boy all grown up...
Poor guy got his feelings hurt when the big meany Trump called out his homeboys for what they are...druggies, criminals and rapists...
LOL, Trump says “Boo”, and Mark Macias wets himself while CNBC stooges soil their underwear.
I’m a conservative that doesn’t like Trump. Because unlike all the people who suddenly decided he was on our side when he came out as a birther I’ve actually paid attention. The guy self identified as a liberal multiple times, he just registered as republican last year. He not on our side, he’s never actually been on our side, he’s just doing this to pimp his brand.
“fat boy”?
Trump?
Chris Cristie?
Michael Moore?
???
Awww. Leftists afraid someone not on their team is going to seize the reins of the totalitarian apparatus they have contributed to and will use it against them?
See my tagline....
Why do you think he’s not in it for the actual run? Seems to me that he’s running just fine.
Yes. They don’t like that.
At the base of that asset are REAL ASSETS.
When you have $9bil you can say whatever you want and whatever you think.
And nobody can do a damn thing about it.
Oh, and you don't have to go begging some other billionaire for money so you can say that he wants said.
As a Mexican-American, words can't describe how offensive that "sound bite" was. Trump's speech wasn't political or divisive. It was pure racism, playing to the lowest common denominator fear.
No, it's not racism. How many Mexicans enter America legally, and how many enter illegally? Of those who enter illegally, how many are upstanding, productive and of good moral character? Their "best and brightest" do not enter under the cloak of darkness.
I just don't think he wants to set his businesses aside for 4 or 8 years to be president. I think he's doing this for the amusement factor and to contribute by creating discussion on topics that no one else dares bring up. I think he sincerely cares about this country, and I welcome him coming into the spotlight to open up discussion on things. He knows he's going to take a lot of flack for doing so, and I admire that he has the balls to do it anyway.
That's my view as well. He's performing a service, IMHO, because he's forcing the other Republican candidates to play a little less cautiously. It makes them more vulnerable to media ambush, to be sure, but they're going to have to deal with that at some point in any case and if Trump can deflect some of it, so much the better.
They really don't want to be distracted by him in this way, they'd prefer to wear down the other Republican candidates, but they can't help it, he's drawing them like moths to a flame. Whatever else, he knows how to generate buzz.
There is a very real anger on the right, (and I think in the silent middle as well) and it's building by the hour. If Trump is the only vessel for it, we've got a problem, but if the other candidates step forward in that role we've got a candidacy. I'm hoping for the best, because we've got to stop playing a cordial, nice-guy losing hand as McCain and Romney did.
I think his children are pretty much running day to day operations
I do think he is seroius...I hope he is the nominee.
If you are a dishonest, lying weasel of a politician, then you are afraid of Donald Trump. He is the only one who isn’t for sale. Millons to get TPA/TPP passed ring a bell?
That will stop with Trump in charge. This is why the good ole boys of both parties are crapping in their pants.
Good. It is past time to break up the lobbyist political cartel that has sold us out at every opportunity and clean up DC. He is a man of ACTION! Can’t wait to see him take on Boehner, McConell, Pelosi, etc. Smash it, Donald! Break up these traitorous parties and a SC that is now unConstitutional! Give ‘em h*ll, Trump!
This might just save our nation!
