Reports have emerged that ISIS has executed one of its top administrative officials in Iraq's second-largest city of Mosul for planning a coup against the extremist group.

The Iraq Press news outlet first reported the incident on Monday, saying ISIS had executed Abu Usman al-Hassan — one of the group's commanders and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's representative in the city — on charges of conspiracy, prompting a number of Syrian and Arab fighters to withdraw toward Raqqa in protest of the execution.

Maybe they should kill all their collegues. This is like when Stalin was killing all his communist co-conspirators.

Maybe they should pass out a rule book or something. Everyone just wants to get along.

Good. This shows that ISIS might be on some shaky ground.

The “caliphate’s” biggest structural weakness is that there is no method for choosing the legitimate caliph. Similar to the way there was no method for choosing the next Roman emperor.

This led every official and general to consider himself a possible successor by coup, and every emperor to consider every official and general a threat not only to his throne but his life. Which meant he tended to preemptively address the issue by killing them. Especially effective generals, which has obvious difficulties for a state with outside enemies.

And, of course, the emperor’s habit of killing potential threats made some of his generals who would have preferred to remain loyal rebel in self-defense.

This is like one of those Cops & Robbers films where the bad guys are so cruel and bad to their underlings that eventually the pawns in the mob rise up to kill the evilest evil one.

As they slaughter innocents and not so innocent, may we pray that they kill each other off in massive quantities.

May they implode on themselves while we are carpet bombing them...uh, I mean “containing” them Obama style which amounts to a light tap on the back of the hand.

We should be carpet bombing their provinces night & day, you know, the old “Shock and Awe” approach?

Nah! Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, he must therefore, just surrender to Iran and the Jihadis...

moslems kill. It’s what they do. When there are no innocents nearby left to kill they will kill each other.

It is a satanic death worshipping cult that needs to be wiped off the face of the earth.

"Mamuzin added that disagreements over distribution of posts and money in the city were the reason behind the execution..."

Maybe Al Sharpton could give them some lessons on the money part.

Turns out, he was merely imitating bird calls, someone got the wrong idea, and pumped him full of lead, shouting "allahuakbar!"
