As Donald Trump surges in polls, Democrats cheer
The Washington Post ^ | July 1st, 2015 | By Philip Rucker

For Democrats, Donald Trump amounts to a kind of divine intervention.

With the Republican Party on an urgent mission to woo Latino voters, one of its leading presidential candidates has been enmeshed for two weeks in a nasty feud over his inflammatory comments about Mexican immigrants.

“They’re bringing drugs,” Trump said in his campaign announcement speech. “They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

The comments — and many more since — have prompted an uproar among Latino groups and a series of acrimonious break-ups between Trump and various corporate partners. His outlandish rhetoric and skill at occupying the national spotlight is also proving to be dangerously toxic for the GOP brand, which remains in the rehabilitation stage after losing the 2012 presidential race.

If Donald Trump runs against Hillarious Clinton, he’ll CRUSH her! Macy’s just made my convection that much stronger. Let’s put them out of business. They must have forgotten what we did to Penney’s! Don’t shop Macy’s.

Lost in all this are the victims of the illegal aliens, whose parents, spouses, and children have been victims of terrible crimes they have committed.

I believe it was San Antonio that saw a 50% reduction in auto thefts the moment they closed a bridge to Mexico. Don’t remember all the particulars now. It’s been a decade or so.

Trump won’t sound so out of it to the folks who know this stuff.

The only people Trump could have possibly offended are rapists and drug dealers. Why are the rinos offended?

If he builds the fence he has my vote

better yet...make the Mexicans pay for it

and contract Sheriff Apaigo (sp) to provide the Mexican labor for the construction.

Let’s not also forget the “rape trees” where women coming up from Mexico are routinely raped and their panties are thrown into the tree where they were raped or all to see. There are some areas where there are dozens and dozens of panties on trees as a warning to women. This is a common occurrence. I would bet that the women who have been victims at the rape trees would agree with Donald and maybe their boyfriends, husbands and children. These are all victims with no recourse.

I see people make statements all along aboout how the Latin people are ready to give up on immigration.

It never seems to translate to the ballot box though.

“It could happen - this country is ripe right now for someone different, and he is giving us that in spades.”

I like Trump precisely because he’s not a professional politician. The current crop of professional politicians are living proof of the Peter Principle. Their only function seems to be either running for or preparing to run for office.
Trump has actual real world accomplishments. He’s also not afraid of the media and in fact manipulates them pretty well. I’m sure his years as a media celebrity are helping with that.
Reagan because of his years as an actor was also great at manipulating the media.

” Folks may say they don’t like him, but sticking by his guns would have a lot of them very impressed and voting for him over the long haul. I wouldn’t dismiss him as a threat, no matter how much I might see him as a loose canon.”

He certainly rose to the top tier fast and he’s polling well.

“Every Union skill trade guys ( and gals ) that are tired of the bullfeathers might just pull the lever for him, rather than some women who will remain nameless who reminds them of their ex-mother in-law”

I think Trump is going for that very demographic. Those Reagan Democrats aren’t happy about Obamatrade.

NO one talks about rape trees but they are common and that is what Trump is alluding to amongst other criminal activities. he libs are incensed. Is it that Hispanic women are just not of the right breeding? Why is such a big deal made of rape on American campuses but that rape trees are never mentioned. I would suggest that the violence and brutality Hispanic women experience when coming here illegally is far more ghastly than what happens on American campuses; yet, it would appear these Hispanic women are throwaways that Univision simply does not want to discuss. This is what Donald Trump is talking about and all backed up with facts.

Recent polls show Cruz and Rubio both beating Hillary while Trump is losing to her.

Cross Party polls in Primary season are entertainment for fluff news, but are useless for scientific polling.
