NBC severing of ties with Donald Trump called watershed moment for Latino clout
Fox News Latino ^ | June 29 2015 | Fox News Latino

Latino media advocacy leaders say NBC’s decision Monday to end its business ties with presidential candidate Donald Trump because of his denigrating comments about Mexicans marked a watershed moment for Latinos.

“Things are never going to be the same,” said Alex Nogales, the president and CEO of the National Hispanic Media Coalition, a Latino media advocacy group, about Latino empowerment. “When have we seen Latinos come out so quickly and strongly against something, and get a result so quickly?”

As if Trump has any say about that flag anyway.

Well, he doesn't have anything to say about illegal immigration, either, except that his business rests on thousands of illegal aliens working on his projects. None of the Right are going to do anything about illegal immigration anyway.

Well, so far we've prevented amnesty. Trump, however, admoitted last week he wants illegals to stay. And he has a vested financial interest in illegals. We’re watching a game where nobody will play by the rules, trying to pick the best guy who won’t play by the rules.

But you believe an untrustworthy person, who spouts a lot of nonsense, but shows he doesn't understand the issues will? Trump has maintained his millionaire status by playing by the rules of big government. Anyone who thinks he would ever try to rock the boat is delusional.

You’re just as authoritarian as the worst Lefty... you apparently can’t fathom doing business with a human being who might help your financial ventures unless they conform to your beliefs and opinions. Dumb.

Yeah, you nailed it. This liberal democRAT hired a disgusting piece of filth like Hilton, piped him into the living rooms of American families with traditional family values where said homo rejected a competitive Christian contestant for doing nothing more than voicing her well-thought out response to a politically motivated and very unfair question regarding the farce that is queer "marriage". And you label me as bad as the worst "authoritarian lefty" because I don't see that as a solid financial venture?

You people grow more desperate daily in your quest to defend this liberal POS. Incredible.

It is much too easy to blame politicians. As the old saying goes, “We have met the enemy, and he is us.” If the Conservative grassroots were more serious than banging on their keyboards, they would take effective action in these times. I would propose that conservatives pick out one of the corporations who have folded to the Left, and drive it out of business through a boycott to the death. I would propose Walmart be the target. Its traditional customer base is red state America, but it consistently dances to the Left’s tune. If Conservatives boycotted Walmart and brought it to its knees, you would see others tremble in fear before us.

Let’s be serious and stop engaging in the fantasies of 12 year old boys. Above I proposed a boycott of Walmart by conservatives to show our clout and numbers, but I know it will never happen. You really believe that people who cannot resist a few dollars less for a big screen TV are going to engage in military operations against the government, be real. First off, the base camp of your fantasy insurgency would be tipped off right away by the social security checks being mailed there.

The 22 people still watching NBC should boycott them!

When I was younger I found myself working side by side with Mexican laborers. They intensely hated me for being there and taking a job away from one of their non English speaking compadres in the Union.

Are there good Mexicans? Of course but those who come here to take jobs away from Americans are not them.

As far as I’m concerned; retroactive deportation for the last 30 years would be just fine and stopping the anchor baby loophole is paramount. Anyone who actually looks at that law can see it was not meant for just anyone plopping a baby on American soil. Then again; if it went before this SCOTUS; there’s no telling how they would view it even with it being black letter law.

How did this country fall so fast in just 7 years?

Everybody at NBC will probably win coupon for a free bean burrito for this.

“How did this country fall so fast in just 7 years?”

The socialists/communists have had a plan in place for at least 50 years. This has all been incremental, but probably faster now because they feel they have the pieces in place.

“Just 7 years.” ? As if George W. Bush had nothing to do with it.

He’s been rocking a lot of boats over the past 10 days. Unless you think all the corporate cutoffs of Trump are a put-on.

Certainly not from Latinos in their country of origin! If they were so "brave" and "strong", why were they unable to correct the injustices in their country of origin? If they are so "strong", why did they flee their country of origin to the U.S.?

These cowards are a pitiful joke and are only slightly less "cowards" than those in the U.S. who cannot stand up and speak the honest truth concerning illegal alien leeches, IMO.

No argument from me about ‘W’ except for his obvious transformation right about his 3rd year in his second term. Until then he seemed to be doing ok from what I could see.

Are you thinking the same thing or are you thinking of something else and please don’t say he lied about WMD’s. He had the same info that was given to congress who ok’d the go ahead to invade Iraq and topple Hussein.

Too bad they only got one Hussein. The other is currently living in the peoples house.

Any Republican candidate relying even a little on “latino clout” might as well hang it up right now and not waste his money and our time.

NBC and Univision and Macy's and MSM and the left in general seem to be saying that ALL Mexicans are criminals and welfare seekers because they are horrified that Trump is not enamored of latino criminals and welfare seekers. They claim that what Trump says applies to ALL Mexicans.

Trump will be fine from this and will gain by it unless he "explains" or "apologizes,' even to the point of saying he doesn't mean all latinos. As soon as he slips that way even a tiny bit he is finished.

You show me a Republican candidate for President with 71% of the Latino vote, and I will show you a person without Secret Service protection.

"When have we seen Latinos come out so quickly and strongly against something, and get a result so quickly"

My, yes...and what a laughably insignificant result you have achieved, also. Why, the total amount of cancelled trade must total, what...perhaps $100K? In other words...the amount Trump spends for a month's landscaping at one of his facilities.

Frankly...I would have expected bigger results from you. After all, there are 20-30 million illegal aliens in this country. And the best you could do was talk one of Trump's cheap lunch dates into not showing up?

“There’s a feeling in the Latino community like the scene [from the movie ‘Network’] where people start shouting ‘I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore! ‘ - Alex Nogales, National Hispanic Media Coalition

The Anglos - and others - are drowning them out with the same cry.
