I say that I will be proud to cast my first vote for president for him. :)
Yes!!!!!
Just watch the Yahoo Stream video of Katie Couric’s interview with Cruz to see how masterfully he smacked down her leading questions. It was so obvious she was on a mission to corner Cruz, but she lost and Cruz came out smelling like a rose!
Nice article. Somebody in the media sees our secret weapon.
I hope they keep trying to trip him up, every interview he looks better.
Let’s say he makes it to the general. Is there a snowballs chance Hillary’s people let her debate him? I say no way.
I like Cruz.
I don’t like the flood of candidates, especially when some of them don’t even serve any purpose other than as a stalking horse.
I think Rubio is also a fool to not run for re-election for his Senate seat. Plenty of other presidential candidates have done such.
I say that Cruz is absolutely the sharpest candidate running. He has no peer, he stands alone.
Presidential material.. a Flag-General among Gomer Pyles.. and Barney Fifes..
NOW.. IF.... we can find a Veep that gets close to worthy of him..
I seem to remember that my first presidential vote went to Barry, in 64.
One of my uncles was telling me his first vote was for Nixon. My mother voted for Reagan her first time.
It was inspiring to watch him hour after hour on his feet filibuster against the forces of darkness in the Senate without committing any gaffe. Now he courageously runs the gauntlet of leftist gotcha artists to expose his candidacy to prolonged open ended interviews without a single hiccup.
In all of this, Cruz beautifully articulates sound conservative positions without apology but also without defensiveness. He is the kind of spokesman who puts the lie to snarky left-wing commentators who would make conservatism disreputable. He restores conservatism to its proper reputation of intellectual as well as moral integrity.
“One of my uncles was telling me his first vote was for Nixon. My mother voted for Reagan her first time.”
My first vote was for Ford. Carter won! That hurt, a lot.
IMHO, the only thing which could make Sen Cruz an even better choice at the moment is for him to ditch the DC pubbie-elites, band together his conservative followers to strike out on the road separately from the GOPe. Most of the DC critters are long since history, with their heads stuck up where the sun don’t shine. The GOP is currently on their hands and knees beggin’ for a bruising.
Ted Cruz REMAINS the only true Conservative in this race.
There is NO SECOND OR THIRD choice for me. For me, it truly is ~~Cruz, OR LOSE~~
My first vote was for Ford, too. Election Day was on my 18th birthday that year. I was soooooo sad Mr. Peanut won.
I agree. I love Rush, but he's always on this rant about Republican candidates not going on the lamestream media shows so they don't inevitably get taken advantage of. In my opinion, the candidates that have gotten repeatedly burned haven't been good enough. It's my litmus test that they hand these dopes their butts when doing these live interviews or they don't merit, and Ted Cruz has. My only concern (if I have one) is that, although done live, they will later be taken out of context for the sake of the “low information voters”. We'll see.
I feel bad my first presidential vote was for Jeb’s daddy in 1988, but in fairness I was a registered Democrat at the time so I was beginning my rightward turn then, though voting for Bush Sr and his sons is hardly voting for a rightward turn.
