Ted Cruz totally gets it. How refreshingly different he is from weasels like John Beohner and Mitch McConnell, who set out to to get on the good side of the mainstream media hard left, mostly homosexual Democratic Party partisans.

Well a pretty high percentage of voters automatically vote Republican or Democrat. No one can afford to give up them votes and win. Cruz is very smart. He knows that.

I am still confused by this poster's post. Of all of the candidates, Ted Cruz is the one least likely to pander to the GOP-Elite or voters aligned purely with the GOP-E.

Let’s say he makes it to the general. Is there a snowballs chance Hillary’s people let her debate him? I say no way.

In which case, the Cruz campaign will buy TV time and he will debate an empty chair.

In the end, he will congratulate the empty chair for having put up a better effort than Hillary.

She wouldn't escape him...

Cruz actually had an interesting interview about immigration, but the media drowned it out with Trump talk.

Not sure voters are smart enough to elect him, but he’s our best candidate since Reagan.

What a joke that was.

That poster wants Ted Cruz to go 3rd party. Not a good idea. Sounds like a surefire way to lose to me.

My first vote was for Carter. I was an eighteen year old Reagan supporter. I absolutely loathed Gerald Ford, who was a kinder gentler version of John McCain. Ford hated the conservative wing of the party. It was like having Boehner as president.

When Ford used his presidential clout to hold the nomination from Reagan, I jumped to Carter. Carter was loathsome, but he ran as the conservative in the race. That’s what a Rino Ford was. He even forgot Poland was communist during a presidential debate.

Four years later, we got the Gipper. If Ford had been re-elected, we’d have had Ted Kennedy in 1980.

I like Cruse, and I would proudly vote for him if he wins in the primaries. However, I think the strongest candidate in the general would be Trump.

I know, I know, that he’s a clown, and a buffoon... That’s OK by me as long as he’s on America’s side. It may take a clown and a buffoon to defeat the democrat nominee.

I’m not convinced that a “Cruse” can get enough of the low information voters to win in the general. The people who will elect the next president will not even understand the issues...

An electorate that would nominate Hitlary are not even going to hear what Cruse has to say, much less analyze it.

Trump may be our best shot. And yes, we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed...

It’s Cruz, not Cruse.

"THE DONALD" is a blowhard, attentionwhore, and one of THE biggest corrupt "crony capitalists" on the face of the earth. He talks out of both sides of his mouth, can't be trusted, and yet some keep falling for those like him, who are just snake oil salesmen.

Trump has a fly up his nose over some Chinese deal/s that didn't go his way and wants REVENGE writ large!

Does he love America? More than the bamster; however, his ego is LARGER than wee barrys !

“In all of this, Cruz beautifully articulates sound conservative positions without apology but also without defensiveness.”

What impressed me, one of many things recently, is his segment on Fox News with Bret Baier and the special report panel (as referenced/seen on FR and Youtube, as I wouldn't be caught dead with TV). Bret was trying to corner him on how if the Supreme Court struck down Obamacare from extending subsidies, would he be proposing some stopgap measures (however he put it) to soften the blow for people who had to buy Obamacare and weren't going to get compensated, and Ted said no and stood his ground without reservation. Bret looked flabbergasted and incensed in that moment that someone would actually hold to their principles rather than be swept up in feelgood and wanting to soften the blow. That is the moment when I saw real principal and conviction and immunity to the hedging with most politicians!

Ford was an honorable man. Carter was a dope. You helped elect a dope. And you feel good about it?

“”THE DONALD” is a blowhard”

Yep... All politicians are blowhards. The real question is; Who owns them.

No, not "ALL" pols; just most of them.

Who "owns" "THE DONALD"? ANYONE WILLING TO PAY HIM THE BIGGEST BUCKS AND KISS HIS ARSE TOO !

There's a whole LOT of "dirt" in his many closets.

Many are intrigued by him, for one silly reason or another, but in the end, he would probably lose to ANY Dem nominee.

Seriously? Do you know how much harm Carter did in the Middle East? You looked in your crappy little crystal ball and decided it was better to vote an F!n moderate liberal over a moderate conservative and you are proud of that? Wow.

I think that ultimately the difference between a principled conservative and a typical politician is faith.

To express this in secular words so as not to turn off the lurker who might be exploring conservatism, without faith the individual is liable to "miss positioning" that is to hubris, a tendency to play God. The biblical stories in Genesis are not there as fairytales rather they undertake to tell us about the nature of man and his natural proclivity to be God.

The leftist will do away with any notion of God which interferes with his ability to play God. There is no arena offering greater scope which to play God than politics which, after all, seeks to exercise power and control over other men. The natural inclination of every man to rationalize his own desires as the common good permits most men, but especially leftists, to do more and more good at the expense of their fellows.

The political importance of faith is that the tendency toward arrogance is mitigated.

Paradoxically, the gift of faith also liberates and empowers. Thus we see both tendencies at work in Ted Cruz, he is morally empowered to speak the truth as he sees it despite an array of snares and traps but he is speaking a truth embodying sound conservative principles because he is aware that he is not God.

If we want to know why Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton are narcissists, the answer should now be obvious.
