The Confederate flag has been in the news quite a bit of late with much consternation on both sides. Bubba Watson weighed in with his opinion Thursday as it relates to his famous General Lee car from the Dukes of Hazzard.
All men ARE created equal, I believe that so I will be painting the American flag over the roof of the General Lee #USA

Poor choice.
Bubba needs to turn in his Bubba card and change his name to Nancy Watson.
Bubba Watson needs to have his testicles removed given that he doesn’t use them any more.
My flag has been in the family for 152 years and is an honored combat veteran.
Well that right but I guess he owns it so it’s his choice. Too bad he’s is destroying it’s value, as well as making a stupid gesture.
Can we put a 60 day hold on stupid over-reactions in this failed nation. Jeez. Beam me up.
I suppose I could have said it on earlier threads, but just to say here that I have felt very hurt about all of this nonsense being directed at the Dukes. When you were an eleven year old kid in 1981 and watching it on Fridays at 8:00pm on WHEC CBS (Rochester, NY) and had the colouring books, AMT General Lee model, and music cassette, you were just watching a fun program that certainly did not take race, creed, or colour into consideration. The only thing possibly pertaining to this to have been involved back then was of course the Dukes moving to this slot after another favourite of mine, “The Incredible Hulk”, was cancelled at about this time.
It is certainly not like I and many other kids were attending MLB games forty or fifty years prior to that time (before Jackie Robinson, Larry Doby, Roy Campanella, et al) when only white men were the participants.
So at the next outrage and the person is holding either a flag or logo of some sort the same thing will happen? What if some whackjob was holding the American flag? What then?
This is what happens when cowards are bullied.
Whoa! What happened to Luke's right hand?
Shades of the Duke boys meet "The Philadelphia Experiment"?
This is so much better:
Bite me, Bubba.
He better think twice about replacing it with the American flag, because that’s next.
Bubba Weasel
Exactly. Bubba just wants to be linked to be part of the left crowd. What a fake.
It isnt the general lee without the confederate flag. He paints over the flag, he wont have a general lee. He’ll have a “thing” no car collector will want to touch.
Exactly right! The whole reason he bought the car was because of it's connection to the show and the paint job, including the Confederate Flag! Otherwise ole Bubba could a bought himself any other 69 Charger in stock color and condition. I'm curious how the Tiger haters will weigh in on Bubba's lack of character, one likes pussy too much, while the other appears to be too much of one!
I can remember when TNN (The Nashville Network) started the revival of “The Dukes of Hazzard”, that seems to have no end in sight, regardless of what Obama and Democrats and big corporate money think.
I recall back about 1995 or 1996, the network had created a new show “Prime Time Country” to replace the longstanding Ralph Emery show “Music City Tonight”. The new show was hosted by Tom Wopat (Luke Duke, of course) and the network brought “Dukes” on as a way of promoting both Tom and the new show. Not long after, Tom left “Prime Time Country” and that went off the air in about one or a couple of years, but “Dukes” newfound popularity again seems to have no end in sight after all of this time. Anybody else here remember this?
He is free to do as he wants however the car will no longer be the General Lee. He can now call it the Damn Yankee.
“Can we put a 60 day hold on stupid over-reactions in this failed nation. Jeez. Beam me up.”
Excellent idea. A Brady Bill ‘Cooling off’ period on knee jerk reactions.
