DONALD TRUMP MUST DISCLOSE PROFITS HE MADE FROM FAKE UNIVERSITY, JUDGE RULES
BPBNewTimes ^ | 3 JUL 2015 | CHRIS JOSEPH

Donald Trump must disclose how much money he made from his so-called Trump University, San Diego U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel ruled this week.

The judge ruled that one of several plaintiffs that had signed up for Trump U is allowed to question the current GOP presidential candidate about the profit he made, whether directly or indirectly, from Trump University.

((snip))

In his ruling, Curiel added that Trump failed to show "that a broad federal right to financial privacy exists that bars discovery regarding any financial transactions of a defendant accused of defrauding large numbers of people."

"Thus, Trump's payments to, and receipt of funds from, Trump University would be relevant to supporting plaintiffs' claims," Curiel said.

I support Ted Cruz very much. This is a Trump thread.

Telling something which is out of context and with distortion does not make it true.

My memory is no longer the best, but even I, in my 70’s,
can recall what Trump said about Obama in 2008. Paraphrasing as accurately as possible what he actually said was “I hope Obama will be successful to bring country together”.

Trump never said Obama was his choice for presidency. If Hillary gets elected in 2016 (God forbid) I will wish her success because we have only one president at a time for all of us.

Let Trump address it. He is all about economics.

I have addressed it anyway. He would support States Rights on any social issue IMHO.

Why is it a “fake” university? Dennis Praeger has “Praeger University.” It’s not a fake, it’s a name he gives his on line subscriber lessons.

So, Trump had a series of seminars that had between 4,000 and 5,000 students, and charged at most $1400 for a course. Yet somehow it is asserted he made $40m from this???

Folks, we NEED someone like this in the presidency. Anyone who can multiply this kind of bread and fishes from $1400 to $28,000 per person is exactly the kind of financial mind we need in the presidency.

If the man is really a liberal democrat as you say,

I still prefer him over others who have been quiet over the invasion of illegals from Mexican border. Actually they are scared to say anything because they are trembling with fear what the media will do to them.

And I prefer Trump over others for opposing the biggest middle class job destruction trade pact with Pacific countries. NAFTA has caused mass movement of factories to Mexico. While almost no factories moved from Mexico to USA. Pacific countries like Vietnam & Myanmar & Indonesia have lower wage levels than Mexico. How many factories will move from USA to those countries with TPP?

I prefer Trump to re-negotiate all our foreign trade protocols because he has more experience in that area than all the 536 politicians in DC combined.

Will you two stop? It's not that he's "saying the right things." It's that he's the ONLY one saying ANYTHING.

Cruz is my choice, but so far he hasn't been as dynamic or successful as Trump. Rubio steps on himself every time he moves (he's in the Hamptons with Romney tonight). Walker? Just hired one of the worst anti-conservative advisors out there. Huckabee? Really?

So pray tell who out there is saying ANYTHING that stands up to the drive-bys or the GOPe? I'll be happy to support him or her (I do like Fiorina) when they do. Til then, I'm happy to support Trump because he's doing something.

"Do you mean by Scam that profits were excessive?"

I mean that the scam "university" took money for services which were never rendered.

"Does buyer beware still apply?"

Always. It applies even more, or should, when deciding who should lead the country. In view of that, why are you putting on blinders and refusing to vet this fraud you call a candidate?

"When Apple charges $400 for an iPad which costs them $25 to manufacture in China, does that qualify as a scam? Why I can buy airline ticket to go from LA to NY cheaper than going from NY to Minneapolis? Tail winds? Are excessive profits now the new taboo?"

It has nothing to do with "excessive profits", but with taking money and never delivering. Read the article!

"I do not need to read any article which claims profits were excessive and therefore it is a scam. Oil is now selling for $57 per barrel and there are no shortages. A few months ago it was $110 per barrel. Was that then a scam by oil companies for artificially rigging the price higher? Scams every where! Or may be it is just the dirty free market capitalism at work"

So you "don't need" to be informed about this liberal fraud you're supporting. Thanks. At least one of you comes out and admits it.

You disgust me. Sincerely.

Your willful ignorance in support of a liberal Democrat is no different from what the Obamabots did in 2008 and 2012. You should be ashamed, but that might take time out from your cult of personality.

BTW, I spoke with Cruz one-on-one briefly about his “replacement” for Obamacare, and it’s NOT a winner. The ideas are good (”Health Savings Accounts”) but it’s a huge political loser because a) most Americans do not want to hear about savings, because they can barely get by, and b) the advantage of the HSAs are in TAX reductions, which won’t apply to the 47% who don’t pay income taxes. I’m not sure he took it to heart, but at least he listened intently.

And BTW, I won’t be stopping.

Why is it a “fake” university?

From the article:

"The suit claimed that Trump used his celebrity status in commercials to sell the seminars, while making false promises for lessons students who forked over thousands never received."

If liberal Trump did not deliver those lessons as promised it would be fake.

“So you are fine with his proposed amnesty?”

At this point. I’m for Trump.
He’s made it in the real world. Something none of the others has done.
The rest of the field is POd because he’s making them have to take a stand and they really don’t want to do that.

I'm not sure how they get to their math maybe here:

One-on-one coaching costs extra, and some pupils paid $20,000 or more.

Maybe you should talk to Trump about his support for universal healthcare. He’s on record saying we “must” have it.
