They are priced as high as they can be... and they have not yet seen the price resistance point.

We somehow keep finding our own and others money to pay the bills. The price of medical services are based on what the traffic will bear and it works because not enough of us suffer the direct cost...

Those batteries are... just batteries... with gobs of product liability and other chit but the price is unrealistic.

If it passes look for the devil in the details as many Dems are for it provided the lost revenue is made up elsewhere. The ELSEWHERE is the key. It will be no surprise if the crony capitalists GOP-E shift the revenue off of the backs of their overloards and directly onto the taxpayers. Maye I’m too cynical at this point.......naw!

Six years of this mess and the impudent inept Republican Party comes up with this? They even lied to the voters to gain control of both houses in 2014 and they still funded Obamacare. Obamacare no longer gets blamed on just the Democrats and Obama. The GOP House, GOP Senate and SCOTUS are willing accomplices to this crime against the American people.

Republicans, with help from Democrats, have gained momentum in their long-running effort to repeal the law's controversial 2.3 percent excise tax on medical devices.

Kudos to the Freeper who pointed out a couple of weeks ago just how pathetic this whole charade is. He made the point that this is hardly a "controversial" measure, and that the only ones who even know about it are Beltway lobbyists working for the medical device industry. Meanwhile, all of ObamaCare's most loathsome elements are still in place, and will remain in force in perpetuity or until the system collapses under its own weight.

If anyone needs any more evidence that the Republican leadership has been bought by corporate lobbyists, this is surely it.

Sorry but the Democrats lost the house because of Obama and passing Obamacare as well as a whole host of other things they passed. The Republicans did promise to do something about it, and should have, but the Democrats lost it all by themselves.

Amen to that! The Republicans do anything but line their pockets and try and retain their power. Hard to believe that people still think these traitors are going to do anything but support the hammer and cycle.

Aren’t we essentially saying the same thing?

I don’t think it would have mattered what the Republicans would have promised. So no I don’t think we are saying the same thing. The fact that they didn’t do something about it might also get them punished as well, but I guess they don’t see it that way.

LOVE MY IMPLANTS..FOR NOW I CAN HEAR...

WITH OUT THEM I'M TOTALLY DEAF...

The batteries are lithium batteries. and it is the first I've had to buy one in five years, so guess overall the price is reasonable, hoping these last that long...Just surprised the heck out of me when I discovered the cost...

Given that they have shown themselves to be so feckless in congress, I believe the repubs have delivered many “blows” in WDC. They are capons.
