GOP worries about Donald Trump fallout
CNN ^ | July 4 2015 | Chris Moody

Washington (CNN)Republicans seeking to broaden the party's appeal to Latino voters have a challenge: Donald Trump.

The bombastic businessman, who is seeking the GOP presidential nomination, is leaving many Republicans worried about the fallout from his comments that immigrants from Latin America are "killers" and "rapists."

"Donald Trump's comments are hurtful for the cause of Republicans who want to reach out not just to Latinos but across many different ethnic barriers," said Ben Domenech, founder of The Federalist, a conservative opinion website, who co-authored a 2012 guide for Republicans on Hispanic outreach. "The problem with those comments is made worse by the fact that people will continue to confuse Trump with a Republican, which he is not, as opposed to thinking of him as an entertainer, which he is."

That’s something the RINOs don’t understand, when illegals sneak into the country, they aren’t moving into white neighborhoods, they are moving in the Hispanic or black neighborhoods and I can assure the RINO party that Hispanics and blacks aren’t exactly thrilled about MS-13 gang members running around their streets not to mention the rapists and the pedos that rape their kids

Instead of worrying about Donald Trump, the rest of the GOP field should follow his example. The lunatic left and their friends in the mainstream media are going nuts because Trump not only refuses to apologize to them, he hits them back (and each time he does, his poll numbers go up!) Now the media is turning away from taking on Trump head-on, and is trying to make the Republican Party as a whole apologize for him. Sadly, many of them will cave in to this tactic.

I suppose it's too late now but:

November 2006
In another study, the Pew Hispanic Center found that about 48 percent of Hispanic voters backed a proposition that designated English as Arizona’s official language, while 41 percent voted to re-elect Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., who made illegal immigration a central campaign issue.

Of course, the judges said no after is passed.

From Pew:
The Center’s analysis finds that Latinos made up 10% of the electorate, as indicated by the national exit poll”

And from Pew:
“One-quarter of 2012 voters were Catholics...By comparison, white Catholics constituted 21% of the electorate in 2000, 20% of voters in 2004 and 19% of the electorate in 2008.

Jews accounted for 2% of the 2012 electorate, and Muslims and members of other non-Christian faiths together accounted for 7% of the electorate. The religiously unaffiliated made up 12% of 2012 voters.

There is an obsession with Latino culture, and vote that seems, from just this aspect, percentage of voters, out of order.

Republicans never get more than 50% Of the Catholic vote. They sure will never get more of the Hispanic vote.

it’s convoluted.

Trump speaks the truth and the GOPe is worried about it. LOL.

If the GOPe really wants to worry, they should spend some time listening to Ted Cruz sing the USA gospel.

One can always tell how effective a policy is by the level of leftwing squealing it generates.

That would make a good tag line

The height of bigotry is to assume all Latinos and Hispanics think alike.

For example, 82% of Hispanics are Christians and would support Ted Cruz even though Ted opposes illegal immigration like Trump.

It’s funny but the Hispanics I know that were born in America and whose families came here legally and worked hard to build a life, detest the illegals that they consider a threat to them. The ones that are out of touch are the GOP who are ignorant enough to believe that the thieves they would gift with Citizenship and handouts would ever vote Republican.

Does The Federalist and CNN believe legal Hispanics and Latinos like having lawlessness from illegals in their neighborhoods?

Hell no!

You bet the GOPe is afraid of the fallout.

Just not for the reasons CNN thinks they are.

They’re scared to death the people in the U. S. will wake up and tell them to go to hell as they try to defeat anyone with half a clue.

Your days are done GOPe. Nobody is buying it anymore.

A majority of legal Latinos don't support the illegals

Either do blacks. They're taking jobs and making their neighborhoods even less safe.

Look what happened the past few weeks: with media and elitist manipulation, black, gay and hispanic false flags have not united, but simultaneously attacked the values of law-abiding US citizens who want to save the nation and its Constitution. We have to fight back on three fronts. Everyone EXCEPT Trump was refusing to fight back!

Law-abiding self-sufficient minorities will vote Republican if the message is one about Constitutional conservative principles and not caving in to the forces that are destroying us.

“Trump is the best piece of ass America has had in a long, long time.

He’s sort of an unpolished Reagan “

Trump would do well to bring in Fiorina. She’s of the same mold.

Good post! Who was that famous Mexican activist for migrant farm workers? He opposed illegal entry of foreigners into the U.S.
