I turned Rush off...enough was enough. When I'm eating lunch and all agog waiting for the political news de jour from Rush, I don't need run-on, detailed teen-age potty-room dissertations on tampons, womens' menstrual periods, homosexual goings-on, etc. accompanied by gleeful, adolescent giggles amidst gasping fits of snickerings and chortlings.

I love humor and parody as much as the next person, but today's elongated opening gambit was an unfunny CLOSER to me.

For those who just adore this kind of crappioli, I suggest Dr. Phil or Dr. Ruth or somesuch will add even more to your listening pleasure.

I written here that I hung out with a lot of gay guys in the 70s and 80s - the theater crowd. They always, always, would turn up to parties and work with black eyes or cuts on their faces. One friend of mine had his face slashed by his boyfriend. Not unusual at all. We used to ignore it! They drink and drug and fight. Or while drunk, they put their hand on a straight guy’s knee and ka-pow! Black eyes at work. Mathew Shepard being a perfect example of a young gay guy.
