Scott Walker's sons were 'disappointed' by his gay marriage position
Business Insider ^ | 07/06/2015 | Colin Campbell

Expected presidential candidate and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's (R) family apparently isn't on the same page as he is when it comes to same-sex marriage.

In a profile of Walker's wife, Tonette Walker, The Washington Post reported Sunday that the Supreme Court's recent marriage ruling was a "particularly tough day" for the Walker family.

Some of their children, she said, are big proponents of same-sex marriage and were bothered by Walker's call for a constitutional amendment to reverse the high court's decision.

"That was a hard one," Tonette Walker said. "Our sons were disappointed. ... I was torn. I have children who are very passionate [in favor of same-sex marriage], and Scott was on his side very passionate."

She further said she has a lesbian cousin and noted that one of their sons was the best man at the relative's same-sex wedding last year.

"It's hard for me because I have a cousin who I love dearly — she is like a sister to me — who is married to a woman, her partner of 18 years," she said.

Tonette Walker also said it shouldn't be surprising that the family has some political disagreements.

I’m not saying this is true for the Walker Campaign, but as a tactic, putting forth this narrative is tantamount to “having your cake and eating it, too.”

Walker is all over the map with regard to queer marriages. He didn’t object last year when the SCOTUS overturned his state laws.

Now his kids and wife are pro-queer marriage?

Too bad. Oh well. He had a shot at the presidency, but that’s gone.

I think you are going to see Walker has likely already peaked and when he gets into the debates with Cruz and Trump he’s going to look like the squish he is.

Try to picture Scott Walker winning a general election. Not in a million years. He generates all the excitement of a flea circus. Although if Jebbie fails the GOPe will go with Walker as their default candidate.

How did he raise sons that support “gay marriage”?

Cincinnatus’ wife will be devastated.

The governing class is willing to support evil.

The Ruling Class has supported state-sponsored thievery since at least the 1930s.

The Ruling Class has supported eugenics since at least the 1920s.

The Ruling Class has sought to disarm the public since at least 1934.

The Ruling Class has supported the murder of babies since at least 1973.

Setting gay marriage aside for a second, did these kids ever take a look at the contortions the Supremes had to go thru in order to rule this way?

It’s a disaster, regardless of where you are on the issue.

I’m not. Their family typifies the different positions within many families. I think it’s a plus for Walker.

Be sure to read the entire piece.

If I recall, Obama claimed he changed his position on the issue because his daughters came home from school and convinced him he was wrong.

Sounds like Reagan’s kids: a good guy with rotten offspring. But they’re just a symptom of our hellish youth.

Axerod said this has always been Obama's position.

"......"....Axelrod also defended comments in his book that Obama misrepresented his position on gay marriage for political expediency

Ditto Hillary.

I seem to recall there were reports that Mrs. G.H.W. Bush and Mrs. George W. Bush were pro-abortion too.

Generation Text is in the bag for gay marriage. has the retention span of a gnat.

*They don't know they don't know...
* History? I challenge a couple I know $100 a pop for just Rock and Roll History, who is this on the radio? They could care less.
* If that is the case Moochelle was well informed and knew what the game plan was when she said: "We have to change our history"
* If it is not on their device, it is not real, unless they are a serious student and need to do real research, then they may stumble on the truth.

They are like I was when I was young was, they are sucked into the popular culture. Sadly, it isn't about hair length, bell bottoms, or Mustangs vs Camaro's. It is about political things that cannot be undone and they are clueless to the cause and effect, these "causes" will have in the future....

Not good...
