GOP Strategist John Feehery: Jeb Bush's Plan To "Get More People Legalized" Is A Good Message

TAMRON HALL, MSNBC: By all accounts for the Republicans to win this general election, you need 40% of the Hispanic vote. I know Kristen [Welker] said immigration would be a major headline in the debates. I think we always expected that.

But the tone, it seems, for your party is being heavily set by Donald Trump and how he's choosing to handle immigration. I want to play for you a brand new interview with Donald Trump. Our own reporter just spoke with him and here's what he said about crime and Mexicans...

JOHN FEEHERY, GOP STRATEGIST: Well, listen, I think Jeb Bush is the front runner right now and I think he has a really good message on immigration, which is we need to get more people legalized and deal with the border issue, which I think is an issue for voters, especially if you look at the sanctuary city in San Francisco. You yourself said this policy is not in step with what the American people want.

TAMRON HALL: But who brought that issue up? Did Jeb Bush lead the conversation on sanctuary city, or did Donald Trump lead the way for your party on this?

At this point, what difference does it make?

"Getting more people legalized" is just the issuance of 'get out of jail free' cards to a small segment of an illegal population. Gee whiz! I'd like a 'nevermind' card just in case something I have always done (legally) becomes a felony overnight, but as an American Citizen, that just won't happen. Why is he even contemplating, much less promoting that for people who aren't Americans?

The GOP has gone to the dark (left) side. I wouldn’t vote for anyone but Cruz or Trump. If it’s not one of them, I’m staying home.

If this Feehery has any sort of relationship with tingly legged Chris Mathews, he must be a very special GOP Strategist. No one moderate or Conservative, who happens to watch that revealing program, is likely to be favorably impressed by Feehery's strategy.

Is there an endless supply of such Republicans, that they keep crawling out from under the political garbage marketers' supply dumps?

If that idiot gets the nod it confirms my decision to leave the Repugnant party. Barring some miracle (more likely a Divine Catastrophe) there is no way to return “My Country, Tis of Thee” to sanity, but I’ll sure not hasten its demise by voting for liberal pigs.

These are the “consultant class” of campaign managers. Managers not leaders.

these professionals gave us Romney, McCain, dole.

these professionals destroyed palin with their containment ideology.

these consultants did not even understand joe the plumber.

As a postscript ... Republican strategists.
Yeah, I remember them assuring us that a stud mare like Sarah Palin could drag even a worn out old RINO Demo-friend like John McCain across the finish line by attracting votes from women in blue and purple areas.
And then they helped the Democrats tear her down. The bastards.
