Oregon was founded on white supremacist principles.
The fool from the politico, all smug in his NYC office, does not know, that one of the most traveled trails westward across the land, ends in Oregon City, near Portland.
The fool from politico does not know, that most of the ‘drivers’ among the wagon trains of settlers, were former Confederate soldiers, who themselves later settled within the Oregon territory. A remnant is actual Southern American cuisine.
So, if there be racism, it is not from a modern day organization, but from the heritage of families of many years before the turn of the last century. I was not witness to any such thing, in my years as a resident in Portland.
Either you do not know any recent African immigrants or you only know the islamo/Somali types.
The vast majority of African immigrants that I know are very good people and very good Americans, Somalis excluded.
For folks that supposedly don’t like racism, the Left is really obsessed with inciting it at the drop of a hat - for them, everyday is graduation day at a large college and lots of hats hit the floor....

I live in Oregon, lived in Washington too, this is a hit piece. The democrats run both states and have for decades, why don’t they clean the place up?
BTW, I sell real estate in Oregon and I have seen in some neighborhood C,C and R’s, (conditions, covenants and restrictions) “no Negroes allowed in this neighborhood”!
