It is not about race.
Our last neighborhood was not as diverse as yours but “people of color” there were friendly and familiar with the neighborhood values. (disclosier: My SIL is Hispanic which makes my grandchildren the same. I love them as much as the blond, blue eyed kids from my son and his Polish wife.
It comes down to class, and by that I mean degrees of it. Feral people of all races will consume the majority of government resources in local administration.
Tell him to get out now, while he can still get something for his house. Construction has started back up again in St Charles county, h There are some lovely developments going up in Wentzville, Lake St. Louis, O'Fallon, and elsewhere in the area. With the new Hwy 364, 370, etc the commute to the county for those that still work there is easy and quick.
We sold our house in Ferguson 15 years ago to move to the north side of O'Fallon and we LOVE it here.
I doubt this plan puts poor blacks in the rich mostly black suburbs of DC, or hispanics in mostly black areas in LA, or poor blacks into hispanic areas.
The only matter is moving minorities into mostly white areas.
War against the suburbs.

The racial “transformation” has already begun in my medium sized, upper middle class town east of Seattle.
I moved here 10 years ago. The town is roughly 30% Asian, 5% Russian, 65% white American. Almost no violent crime. Completely peaceful and quiet, except for an occasional rowdy group of drunk college kids on weekends.
Six months ago, working age Black guys started showing up in my neighborhood, walking around, doing nothing, on work days.
Turns out an older apartment complex down the street was sold, re-financed with a federally guaranteed loan at almost zero percent, and was converted to low income and Section 8 housing.
Last month, a brand new apartment building opened a couple hundred yards from my backyard. Same story, low income, Section 8, plus a special treat, 20 additional apartments for the homeless.
And, now I just found out that an older commercial office building a few blocks away is being refurbished as a 150 bed homeless shelter!
I'm actually lucky, because I'm a renter. I can, and will, move.
But most of the people in this neighborhood own condos, and there is a significant amount of expensive office space around here, too.
I'll guess their property values have gone down 25% in the last six months.
Only about 6% of King County (Seattle) residents are Black. But more than 50% of my new “neighbors” are Black. I now have ten times more impoverished, angry, potentially violent Black neighbors than I did when I lived in downtown Seattle ten years ago!
Breaks my heart. I'm an old guy, and I had really begun thinking I was going to live the rest of my life in this very pleasant neighborhood.
I can't help but laugh about one thing - this town votes 75% Democrat.

What you describe will probably happen soon in my neighborhood in Shoreline. We are relatively close to Aurora Ave, so the mayor and council will start the wreckage in our areas first. The more affluent people down towards Puget Sound will be spared.
This is a remarkably diverse neighborhood. I think it’s the combination of large houses for the price with the location.
It shows that anyone who chooses to adopt a bourgeois lifestyle (for lack of a better term) can. I don’t know much about the personal lives of most of my neighbors (although more than I need to about the redneck-reality-show cast across the street), but they all contribute to a pleasant living environment.
Same thing Clinton did.
Not sure what Obama’s motives are. He’s already said violent, black criminals should be allowed to terrorize black neighborhoods. He doesn’t want the police to intervene or people to be able to defend themselves.

Hogwash. The blacks "confined to ghettos" are there by their own choice. There are gazillions of "Affirmative Action" programs and scholarships for any black who wants to get an education and get into the American mainstream.
I grew up in a mixed race neighborhood. It never crossed my mind to treat my “colored” friends any different than anyone else. It is such a destructive and divisive thing for the left to turn race into a lie by which they snooker so many people into hating others.
The village I live in does not have federally subsidized housing, period. We've rejected it since we incorporated as a village and took control of our own future.
That was ten years ago. You will not find a single, federally subsidized home or homes anywhere in our boundaries.
People here are quite adamant in telling the Federal Government to SHOVE IT. Hell, we tell the STATE and County governments to shove it too. Believe it or not, I'm in Illinois.
So did I: white, black, Hispanic, Filipino, American Indian, etc. My father was a Navy officer.
I agree. It is truly evil to use people's differences to lead them to destruction.
Thank you for pointing that out. In his book "Bad Students, Not Bad Schools" Robert Weissberg exposed the lie of black inner city students chained to poor schools unable to escape.
Weissberg mentioned the programs set up for many of those kids who want to get out. A very large pct. of those kids and parents don't want to leave their ghetto schools. They're happy where they are. And THEY'RE!!! the ones who make the schools awful. Even well-meaning conservatives get that twisted.
It's not bad schools because of bad teachers (although that might be the case in many of them.) It's mostly impossible to teach those kids in the chaotic environment the kids create. Good teachers are frustrated by trying reach unreachable, semi or wholly violent, out of control children.
The so-called Fair Housing Act was a Demagogic Party agenda-driven program to build sandboxes and warehouses to hold the "disadvantaged" -- and to keep them the hell out of the suburbs. A secondary aspect was to foster dependence. The third thing it accomplished was to pillory anyone who voted against it. Thanks Second Amendment First.
