Fiorina: Trump tapping into an ‘anger’
The Hill ^ | 07/12/2015 | Kyle Balluck

Carly Fiorina said in an interview Sunday that fellow GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump is “tapping into an anger that I hear every day.”

“People are angry that a commonsense thing like securing the border or ending sanctuary cities is somehow considered extreme,” she told ABC’s “This Week.” “It's not extreme, it's commonsense. We need to secure the border.”

“People are also angry at a professional political class of both parties that talks a good game, gives good speeches, but somehow nothing ever really changes,” she added. “And people are angry as well at a double standard in the media.”

Fiorina said she had not been asked a “single question” about Trump’s comments on immigration during six days in New Hampshire.

Fiorina also blasted Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton during the ABC interview, saying the former secretary of State’s polices create more income inequality.

“Why? Because bigger government creates crony capitalism,” she said. “When you have a 70,000 page tax code, you've got to be very wealthy, very powerful, very well connected to dig your way through that tax code. … I will continue to point out … the fact that every policy she is pursuing will make income inequality worse, not better, crony capitalism even worse, not better. “

Clinton is scheduled to deliver a major economic policy speech in New York on Monday, when she is expected to call for a boost to the stagnating incomes of middle-class families.

Carly just figured out which way the wind is blowing and is changing her tack. She'll say whatever it takes to be somebody's VP.

Yep, but I am ok with that I think it would be a good position for her.

Frankly, I think they are ALL saying whatever they think it will take. The question is, is anyone sincere?

Then she’s a lot like Trump, the sometime liberal genius. Maybe he’ll choose her?

But she was trashing Trump last week

And the very masterful Trump laid off her in his Friday and Saturday speeches, perhaps assessing that she'd come around. And she is smart enough to change her rhetoric.

She was sly when interviewed by Stephanopous this AM. I love it....it's becoming a game of Survivor and no one with half a brain is going to risk being the next one Trump votes off the island!

I saw her on Greta a few days ago. She trashed Trump and lied about what Trump said.

Greta forced to hear the actual audio of what Trump said and then asked
Carly what specific comments offended her.

Carly stuttered and stammered, never giving an answer.

I.E. Greta caught her her spouting GOPe talking points that she could not
defend when confronted.

Which next GOP clown will flop?

So what? Citizens ARE angry about what this poophead is doing to them and this country. He states what is obvious and other candidates are too scared to admit.

Trump is taking the bait of going after what amounts to are peon landscapers, his star will fade soon enough. If he switched to the Cultural Marxist scolds and the cynical Chamberpot of Commerce he would have long term staying power, those people are truly hated not Jose the hard working man of color who does such a nice job for everyone.

No, he is distinguishing between legal immigration/immigrants and illegal immigration/immigrants.

Only sociopaths/psychopaths would refuse to acknowledge the difference between legal immigration/immigrants and illegal immigration/immigrants.

Sounds like you.

Trump has no shortage of targets. Most targets should be attacked by attacking the gov’t policies that are screwing up the situations. Put the blame on Congress, Zer0 and the bureaucrats and their LSM hand maidens.

The tax code has had almost one hundred years to grow.

The 11,000 pages of regulations `Affordable Care act’ is only 4 years old and metastasizing every day while being changed by Democrats to mean what they intended, with the SCOTUS standing by to support them.

GOP. Do something, anything—even if it’s wrong.

If Trump is tapping into anger, it’s not a new thing.

Obama was way ahead with his Alinsky tactics. He creates animosity where little existed to divide and conquer. Trump is appealing to those who have been affected by that; he’s not inciting.
