Wilson came up with the idea all laws would be regulations thought up by experts in the field in question. L&I, EPA, IRS etc. They would then enforce the the ‘legislation’ and ultimately adjudicate said regulation. The idea was, to Wilson, the government agencies would be legislative, executive and judicial in each bureau.

I don’t disagree with you, so please do not think I am picking a fight with this question: I too hope that cooler heads prevail. But at some point either the government will back down—not likely—or there is going to be a cake showdown like the ranch last year. At some point, on one side or the other, push will come to shove.

If a prominent gay celeb pays this fine and rebukes oregon this will do more to help their movement than the heavy foot of the state on the throat of Christians.

Not to elevate their suffering to the level of the Christians suffering under ISIS (the latest being a young girl that was buried to her neck and then stoned to death for not renouncing her Christianity) - what is happening here is the exact same thing (obviously to a lesser degree of punishment).

I’m surprised there isn’t a recall petition in the works for Avakian by now. Maybe there is. Issuing a $135,000 administrative fine over something like this would certainly appear to be a clear abuse of authority and judgment.
This is exactly the sort of thing that republican candidates need to latch onto in order to garner attention from the media. Where are they? Where’s Cruz, Trump, Huckabee, Santorum? They are nowhere to be found. The GOP is doomed. If this were an equivalent leftist issue, the candidates would be all over it.
